Agree. And you would think a guy that is previously a Hall of Fame level DB and has played for years in the NFL would know a little bit about DB's, and what they are worth.

That wasn't the lowdown, it was Talib who doesn't want to play for the 9ers. Elway and Lynch are best mates because of the Stanford alum plus they had been teammates together, they wanted to get the deal done, but just not Talib unfortunately.

You can clearly see the Rams are scared of Jimmy G, that was why they went all in to make sure they give Wade Philips everything and everyone he needs.

Well, we can't change what the Rams has done, we will just have to retaliate by massively beefing up our offense.

Adding two pro bowl corners in one off season is very impressive, rams will go into the season as heavy favorites to win the west.

Sneaky rams, if they even have a decent draft they will be the clear offseason winners.

Certainly hope Lynch has a plan at cornerback.

Sure we will need CBs, but that is not the way to counter the Rams's moves.

Bottom line, our O needs to beat their D. We need to give Jimmy G top grade weapons who can contest and beat out their corners one-on-one. In essence, our WRs will need to be much more physical to handle their secondary. This is crucial, if our WRs can't do that, their pass rush will get to Jimmy G.

You can add all the defenders in the world but makes no difference because Goff is not a SB caliber QB

He's awful. Not a single team says "oh crap we have to play Jared Goff next week"
Not scared at all. Now the Rams have two headcases at CB and both wants to be THE #1 guy, they gon bump heads and do more damage to their team than good.

Exactly this!

Wow, lotsa flamey personality on that D, it could go boom or bust. McVay knows you can't beat Jimmy with the rush, you can only pray you can keep up with our skill players. Rams are changing their entire D just to fight us. The NFL is scared of the 49ers.

You mean like the patriots "top grade weapons" they always win the super bowl with??

The secondary has been a major weakness for the 49ers for some time now and if that doesn't get addressed the 49ers will continue to struggle getting off the field on third down. As far as I know the rams secondary wasn't half as bad as the 49ers last year but they still came out and added 2 elite corners. I'm not suggesting the 49ers counter anything, just address an important postition that is very weak at the moment.

Do the Patriots always win Super Bowls? Let's see, if Pete Carroll didn't screw up the playcall at the 2 yard line, the Pats would have gone to 8 Super Bowls and only won 4 of them. That is a hit rate of 50%. Just for the benchmark, Joe Montana won 4 Super Bowls out of all 4 Super Bowl appearances.

Sounds like you might need a change of underwear. Relax, there is no need to crap in your pants.

The Rams added corners simply because:1) they are sh*t scared of Jimmy G and 2) that's how Wade Philips builds his D.

You can go and break the bank on a couple of free agent corners and it will have zero effect on Peters and Talib. You are just breaking it. Don't worry, we will have additional help in the backend.

But, the key focus will be on Jimmy G and the O to get the job done. At the end of the day, you will need to put points on the board to win games. Having signed our franchise QB, the most urgent task now will be to build the team around him because with proper protection and weapons, Jimmy is going to win us a lot of games. Just look at last year with his 5 consecutive wins, they were all offensive wins, the D hardly did anything.

What you should be thinking about after the Rams added Peters and Talib is how the 9ers is going to counter and not panic and copy them just because they added 2 top corners.
