Vikings trade for Bradford

Well, the Vikings missed the playoffs but Bradford had an excellent season: 395/552 (71,6%) for 3877 yards, 20 TDs, 5 INTs and a quarterback rating of 99,3. And he did all that behind the worst offensive line in all of football and with no running game whatsoever. I assume he will remain the Vikings' starting quarterback moving forward and Teddy Bridgewater will have to settle for the backup role if he ever gets healthy enough to play.

but but they have Alex Boone

get Teddy if we can swing him for like a 3 or 4 - very underrated QB imo - if he still has a useable knee

i don't know what everyone is saying about no talen - Thielen, Diggs, C-Patt, Mckinnon are serious weapons for a passing game

This. Bradford wasn't the problem. The rest of the offense was.

We all understand that Bradford sucks out loud, right? He's a poor man's Alex Smith.

LOL

How can player A be a poor man's player B when player A outproduced player B in almost every single statistic?

Been advocating for that as well. Depends on the severity of his injury. Some say its as bad as what Marcus Lattimore suffered. Hard to believe he could sustain such an injury in a non-contact drill, but if thats the case it should tank his trade value. I'd gladly trade a Day 3 pick and take a chance on him.

Both are mediocre, but Alex has a slightly higher YPA & passer rating in his career. And at least Alex has led teams to winning seasons.

If you agree both are mediocre, then one certainly is not a poor man's version of the other. Lol.

And as my friends in the Chiefs fans have said over and over, this is a what have you done for me lately league. And lately, Bradford has had a better individual season than Alex in virtually every measurable way.

There are differing levels of mediocrity.

And once again, the player who outproduced the other in almost every possible measure should not be considered the poor man version.

Except that Bradford DIDN'T outproduce Alex. Alex has a higher passer rating & YPA, and he's done it in WINS. Bradford has produced inferiour efficiency numbers in losses for garbage yards.

Bardford is one of the easiest QBs in the league to defend.

LOL yes he did.

71.6 to 67.1 in completion % in Bradford's favor
99.3 to 91.2 in passer rating in Bradford's favor (something you laughably said Alex was higher in)
20 to 15 in touchdowns in Bradford's favor
5 to 8 in interceptions in Bradford's favor
3,877 to 3,502 in passing yards in Bradford's favor
7.16 to 7.02 in yards per attempt in Smith's favor
63.4 to 63.0 in QBR in Smith's favor

Sorry dude. Your argument doesnt hold water. The only statistical categories Alex beat Bradford in, the difference was so small, it isnt even worth noting.

And saying Bradford is the easiest QB in the league to defend is not based on a shred if evidence. Why do you hate Bradford so much?

I'd take Alex over Bradford. He has mobility.

Funny thing is so would I. But Bradford certainly isnt a poor man's Alex. They are roughly the same player.

Personally think you could switch the teams and both teams would have similar outcomes. Think Chiefs would actually have a more potent offense under Bradford...I think Alex is he better QB but they're both mediocre.
