I hope they cave and pay him so they can f**k up their capOriginally posted by NCommand:Originally posted by VA9erfan:@ericsgeller: Just got confirmation. Not going to happen, nor should it. #MobSquad #SignAD99
That's nuts.

This is not going to end well, any way it turns out. Well, the 49ers definitely have an advantage so far as a couple of their NFC West foes have some issues going on away from the field. It is setting up nicely.

Oh my.
Based on what Suh landed in FA and given cap inflation I could see the logic in Donald looking for around $25M a year. Suh was in a unique position because he was a free agent and Miami wanted to make a splash

I wonder if Donald is regretting recruiting Suh right now.

Whoa north of 25 million. Yikes. Donald is gonna get tagged through his prime and then kicked to the curb.

Donald isnt gonna play for $6 million this year , when anyone will give him over a $100 million contract next year if he doesnt play a down this year

If he doesn't play a down this year then he won't be a free agent next year. The Rams are better off franchising him a couple times then signing him to a deal that gives him top quarterback level money.

Good to know
Even if he only gets a franchise tag, with the amount of increase in pay , it doesn't make sense to risk injury while making $6 million this year .
Rams planned this roster around his rookie contract and now they could lose their best player for the season bc of a hold out

The Rams are reportedly offering to make him the highest paid defensive player in football. $21 mil a year. Donald and his agent are demanding QB money, $25 mil+.
If Donald holds out for a season then he is back in the same boat next year.

Interesting how they could pay him $21 million this year with so little cap room left.
More likely they are all in on his rookie contract this year
