He would love to sign with us and stick it to the Rams twice a year

I'm low key all in on Trumaine. We might have to pay a lot but I love the motivation of proving the rams wrong and showing the NFL he's worth the money and a chance to show he's better than Peters.

Gonna have to defer to thl408 & Heroism as to whether he fits Saleh's defense.

That said I don't think he's worth $14M/yr which he'll probably get.

$14 million/yr is where the negotiations are going to start.

I'll take Johnson and spoon all day

I listened to a podcast that noted the guy just doesn't give up big plays or deep plays at all which is a Saleh staple. But he does give up a s**t ton underneath esp. on 3rd and 4th downs but perhaps that won't be as big of an issue surrounded by Williams and Foster and M.Smith underneath and with Colbert's and Tartt's range?

Malcolm Smith is the polar opposite according to that same podcast.

What podcast did you hear this? I'm trying to find some good new ones

Better rivals, they've been breaking down our roster/FA prospects and who we should go for.

Which is why i said Johnson isn't as good in off coverage earlier in this thread. He gives up lots underneath.
He's only going to come here if he really wants to be here. He's from the Bay Area, could play with a contender and play the Rams twice a year. If he wants (all) the money, he's going to Indy or Cleveland. Plain and simply.

Well he's going to get paid no matter what. Why does everyone automatically assume we will be the lowest bidder for any given player?

Also keep in mind he just made 30 million being tagged 2 years in a row so money may not be his primary concern. And no one wants to play on Cleveland. I think Indy has a good shot at him though.

That same podcast said Butler is the best fit for this team.

This is true but also noted he gave up way more deep stuff and that's a big no-no for Saleh.

The guy who might be the best fit of all is Kyle Fuller or Rashaan Melvin.

I'd take any of the 4 though!
I see this guy being pretty meh on another team without the rams front 7

As soon as Saleh forces him to use that trail technique, it's over. LOL

I trust Saleh will use him in the box while he has a NT cover his reciever.
