This is a reminder that Denver's defense did *this* to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers this year. They are good.

Wish we could have seen this DEN team go against the SB winning Seagulls team. That would have been an epic defensive battle.

Dilfer hit it on the head. Panthers dropped passes, fumbled, got dumb personal fouls, missed a FG, let a Broncos punt returner loose for 60 yards on a weird play, and passed the ball 41 times.

That's how they lost more then anything Broncos did.

This. They are a top 5 all time defense that won a SB imo probably.

If Baalke wants to achieve any credibility, he should step up his game and get a phenomenal d-line from a pressure and rush defense point of view. Justin smith before the NE game, where he shredded his elbow was that dominant influence that madr the rest of the defense and especially Aldon Smith shine.
Baalke needs to get someone like that in free agency. Spend the money on the defense and the o-line.
The sad part is that I don't know if Baalke can pull it out as there might not be any players available in free agency due to the franchise tags that the best players are going to get. In addition, more importantly it'll be out of character for Kelly to value the defense, which is tremendously important.
Let's see how it goes. But banking on just Bowman isn't going to cut it, especially if it's the tackle missing Bowman that shows up next year. They need a lot more. Ian williams cannot be your best lineman.

Yeah the Broncos D was great. But the Broncos offense didn't do much so those gaffs hurt them a lot in a tight game.
