Cam Newton's Ego

IMO if Johnny Manzel in some bizzaro world parallel universe lost the Super Bowl and did what cam did, i think he would be getting the same treatment that Cam is.

i think a lot of his has to with how much attention you're pulling onto yourself, and how much of that you're being perceived as taking away from the rest of the team, and moreso when you have a title where you should have some level of humility....... but then when sh*t hits the fan you're unwilling to take on criticism and take responsibility for your own actions.

rivalries aside, Wilson is a good example last year, he came out right after the game and basically said (paraphrasing) "i threw the ball, don't blame Carroll"

If Manziel did it, the response would be far, far worse!! So, good job that is not a likely scenario then?

I have to be honest, in a sport that is mainly black guys, I find it hard to believe that this is a race issue. Yeah, our receivers are black, our defensive backfield is black, our running backs are black, half of the Oline and most of the D line is black and we did once have a white linebacker. But damn, we have to have a white qb!

I don't see how you can expect someone who commands so much attention when hes winning to not get the attention when he loses. Its not because of the color of his skin its the way he presents himself. You run your mouth all year when your winning but expect people not to hound you when you lose and act like a baby. We would do the same to Pete Carroll or Sherman because they act the same way. Wilson on the other hand in my opinion is a class act.

Exactly. He asked for it.

Now he's making it worse by saying he's not sorry for the post game conference and he is who he is and not going to change it for anyone. Pretty dumb considering how he considered himself a great role model.

And his answer to why he didn't dive for that fumble:

Cam: "I don't dive on 1 fumble because the way my leg was-- it could have been (contorted) in a way. OK, you say my effort. I didn't dive...

Okay, I'm starting to get the impression that some of my friends are black because some of them absolutely hate mayonnaise - that should be my first clue.

This i have no issue with miracle whip but mayo is a no go. Now I do like chipotle mayo

I really thought Cam was coming around, but he is just a lousy sport. he is no role model. This isnt how grown men act.

Between his demeanor during the game to his post game interview, he showed his true colors. And yes, failure to even attempt to recover that fumble was pathetic. its the biggest game of your life. Go all out.
