Doesn't the NFL have a rule, so that every team gets a primetime game? Even the god awful ones... Seems like they tend to give the worst teams the TNF primetime slot.

I've watched a few games from both teams this year & they were actually pretty good games… This game however was trash! Which is disappointing because I thought they'd put on a good performance.

Low scoring games are fine as long as it's due to outstanding defense, not woefully predictable play calling.
The close finish doesn't make up for the rest of this garbage game… I feel cheated...

Every team gets a Thursday game, so that it's fair across the league (short week)
Watching the Titans I can't help but regret how under utilized Delanie Walker was with the Niners. He played with us seven years and would go weeks without a look. His block on Ed Reed at the goal line in the SB was textbook.

Lots of players were underutilized during the Harbaugh/Roman era.

They tried to make it more even this year by having divisional matchups only since the teams are already familiar with one another during the short week. Should have started Gabbert that first game vs SEA.

That's how f**king loaded we were, except at QB. Damn if we had an above average QB in those years we might be 7 time SB champions right now.

And people wonder why Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick looked like pro bowlers in 2012. Best offensive line in the league, Gore in his prime, Davis and Walker at TE, Crabtree pre-injury, Moss/Manningham as decent WR2/WR3's. Ted Ginn couldn't get on the field and is now Carolina's #1 WR. Put any mediocre QB on that team and they'll produce great stats. Put a great QB on that team combined with a top 5 defense and you have the best team in the league by far.

Sounds like someone with an agenda. Not surprising given the stuff posted on here. The QB did more than enough to win.

It's interesting you would make such a comment about the QB when the defense gave up 31, 24 and 34 points on our run to the Super Bowl. The QB 7 TDs during those 3 games. No QB has won a Super Bowl with his team giving up 34 points. But yes. It's the QB's fault.

Exactly. I say the same thing to people who say Young an Montana were great QBs. With all the talent they had around them, they should have won MORE!

Do people even listen to what they say? What did Brady have? What did Big Ben have? Drew Brees? Montana? Younrg? If you win a Super Bowl, odds are you have a pretty damn good team around you. But don't let me spoil the narrative.
