NFL trade deadline

Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet. Niners could get a small return for Vernon Davis and maybe even Alex Boone. Some of the other names being rumored to move are Matt Forte, Steve Smith Sr., Jared Cook, Alex Mack or Joe Thomas etc. I know it's not anything like the MLB or NBA trade deadline, but it should be something to monitor this week.

Not sure we'd get more than a 6th or 7th round pick for Davis. Maybe we'd get a 5th round pick for a half season rental of Boone. I don't expect we'll trade Boone and make our offensive line that much worse. We should probably try to keep him in the offseason if possible.

Yeah, that's mainly the story for guys on the trading block. Their team doesn't plan on extending/resigning them

Deadline is Tuesday. Looking at Shaquille Barrett, reserve OLB for Broncos play tonight. Been filling in for Ware and Miller this year. Probably a pipe dream to get a kid this good in exchange for an aging Davis.
