Unless it is DAL with a payroll out of control there will not be any DeMarcus Ware being released. No franchise is that idiotic! Teams will keep their pass rushers unless they're trying to win with class like us and the guy is an alcoholic
Reports are now coming out, that the 49ers will also include Joe Staley in the deal. Looks like the rumors about Tomsula asking him to retire were true.

Tell the voices in your head to simmer down.
Easton has a high IQ, both in academics and football. I really like this trade...at best MM was a temporary starter 'til Kilgore comes back. Once Easton learns the offense, he'll take over, methinks. Good job, Baalke.

I wonder what/who we gave up?

Probably a late round pick, 6th or 7th rounder, Ravens had a hard choice to make with Easton considering how well he performed in the preseason.

But we are buyers and desperate. If we end up giving a conditional 5th if this guy starts a certain amount of games who's the winner in the deal?

Both teams can be winners. I think more likely the pick is a 6th or 7th depending on playing time. But if Easton turns out to be a stud of a center and a longtime starter, do you think anyone would care what he cost.
This is good...

I disagree with the martin comment. im not arguing that maybe he wont pan out, but at best he would be an elite center, i mean he was rated the best center in college and he was drafted to play center
We really don't know which position the coaching staff will use him at do we?

The coaching staff has already moved people to different positions that they didn't play in the past so I guess it wouldn't surprise me if they do it with Nick Easton.

Easton is about as pure of a center as it gets. I don't see him being moved around to any other position. He's the sort of high IQ guy you want calling out the protection...etc.
