Losing Rush to the Jags is good for him...maybe he'll get a chance to play. As for our coaches being morons, I think they know Rush and what he can do better than any of us. Rush's success in preseason may or may not play into the regular season. I thought they might activate him when Lynch was out. But, for whatever reason they didn't. That said, there are much bigger problems on this team...losing Rush is really pretty small potatoes.

With all the injuries and busts on defense Rush should have been promoted to the active roster weeks ago. The pass rush has been so poor & the 49ers didnt even give kid a shot such a shame.

Man, I don't expect him to lead the league in sacks, but damn, at least give the guy a chance after 2 years of showing his non stop motor even with LIMITED SKILLS.. we keep giving TANK & SLOB chances after chances because of their measurements, but damnnnnnn youuuu BAALKEEEE !!!

Ya, most of the time GMs decide to bring a player up or not, at the same time, it's pretty crazy to think that O'Neil or Chip didn't go ask Trent to promote him.

O'Neil was asked if he would go talk to general manager Trent Baalke about possibly activating Rush. After all, at 1-9, the team's season is over and it would be nice to see if the 49ers have anything in the young linebacker. "No," O'Neil answered. "I don't get involved in those conversations.
