The book on him is his lack of run defense....that said it seems like everyone's book on this D right now is run D so why not give him a shot.

he could at least provide some pass rush on 3rd down

SAD, AND IT'S NOT gonna happen.. With Rush leading the team in sacks, straight from Practice Squad, it could only mean that Baalke will prove the draft mistakes he has made since coming here..

If they promote him, they need to do it with the idea of keeping him on the 53 for the rest of the year. If they're not sure he'll stay on the 53 they should wait.

Wilhoite
We can't stop the run anway might as well bring him up and get some sacks
I forgot this guy is hiding on the PS. Lol, he didn't make the squad because they were afraid he would make our run defense soft.

Rush is a high effort high energy guy, we need that on this defense right now. If he makes a mistake it will be going 100 mph.

He's going to get his chance now with Lynch out.
He's no help vs the run and I doubt he gets to the QB like he did in the preseason. He was a student vs backups and guys that don't have jobs.

There is no book out on him because he hasn't gotten his shot yet. Led the preseason is sacks...considering our OLB's have provided little to no Pressure on the QB this year why not try him out with Lynch possibly out a game or two?

Sure, he may disappear in real games like Carradine did, but we won't know until he actually gets a shot. We'll see. With Carradine, Brooks, and Harold as the only other healthy LBs, Rush will have to get a shot at least in pass rush situations.

I don't know what Harold's speed is like now after adding 20+ pounds in the off-season. Carradine is athletic (4.75 - 4.8 pro day when coming out of the draft), but Rush might be the fastest OLB (4.68) on the team right now. At the very least, you know he can get there in a hurry when in pursuit.
Harold and Tank have combined for ZERO sacks , don't know why we don't give Marcus a shot? , it's not like our OLB's are providing a consistent pass rush and stopping the run
