LOL he was also charged today with DUI with prior conviction, hit and run and vandalism. That first charge could mean years in jail. How long before Goodell suspends him indefinitely, considering he was suspended 9 games for his dumbass behavior last year and didn't learn a thing? After 1 game? 2? Yeah what a great move, just brilliant..

Will probably soon do something stupid again no doubt, he does not seem to have the understanding in his head that his actions have consequences.

Oh yeah gets my goat. I was just listening to the play-by-play announcer for the Raiders and he's such a two-faced asswipe. He was one of the biggest critics of all the legal issues Alden had and now sitting there yukking it up like he just won the lottery. f***ing douche bag.

Good for him and Oakland. It was absolutely stupid for the 49ers to release him.

Oakland is going to be a playoff team this year
Personally, I wish Aldon Smith luck in Oakland.
However, as a 49ers fan this kind of sucks. Clearly, the 49ers did not want to release Smith, but the arrests and bad pub have gotten a little crazy and the media/ "journalists" in the bay area were going crazy on a rampage against the 49ers as if there was some systemic problem with the team. Really, it was just Aldon and Ray Mac. However, the 49ers were essentially forced and pressured into releasing Smith. The 49ers lose the guy they developed and tried so hard to help, only to have the Raiders sign him and he may not even be suspended? That sucks for the 49ers.

Also, to everyone saying he will now have the support and love he needs to succeed in his personal life. The 49ers did everything possible to help Smith, above and beyond what they likely had to. The 49ers had great leaders, probably better than those on the Raiders, guys like Willis, Bowman, Justin Smith, Bethea, Joe Staley, Frank Gore. The list goes on. It isn't like the 49ers didn't try and help Smith. He just had a problem and I feel like the 49ers were forced into releasing the guy. If they didnt, they would be absolutely destroyed in the media. Those same journalists will now likely write about Aldon's redemption story, conveniently forgetting how they were enranged at the 49ers for someohow being responsible for Aldon's problems. However, the next team that picks him up (the Raiders) gets a steal for a great (and he is great) player who won't be suspended likely.

I bet the 49ers front office is not happy about this. We now have Lemonier starting So sad lol

Greg Papa. If Lawrence Phillips escaped from prison and signed with the Raiders he would say it was a really great move.
That's cool, the Raiders don't have a player like the real true Smith which is Justin Smith that made Aldon Smith shine. Is that too much Smith?

Hoping for his sake he can stay out of trouble. But this was his contract year, if he stayed out of trouble he would be on the team and either be getting big money from us or be one of the top FAs after the year. How much more incentive do you need?

This. Why would he have suddenly more incentive now when he didn't a month ago. I just don't know how seriously he has taken his issues, real issues that need to be treated, I fear that this will not end well for him or the Raiders.

I personally hope Aldon gets drunk again and passes out in the middle of the Colisseum. Then, the Oakland convict fans drag his sorry butt into the Black Hole where he gets pounded by Pabst Blue Ribbon cans. And, as a result, gets suspended indefinitely. For this and the prior two seasons, he has been nothing but a distraction.

He has no right to be pissed...this would not have happened if he had drafted J.J. Watt...he has no one to blame but himself.
