Matt Maiocco @MaioccoCSN 8m8 minutes ago @49erswebzone The 49ers were keeping the door open to a possible return down the road. But they had no known interest at this time.

Just glad it was the Raiders and not someone that matters.

Yea he's gonna get suspended at some point just for getting arrested again. Not this year though. Might only be 2/4 games if charges are dropped. But I'm not sure the details of the DUI part of this case. I'm sure the neighbors car can be taken car of out of court but with his history he's gonna have to have a real strong case beating this DUI

Yup. The 4 teams were interested in having him help immediately then not resigning him when he is suspended. Even if they can't prove DUI he was recklessly driving. He is getting suspended.

Aldon will not play for the 49ers again. Why would he? His latest case will get dropped and there will be no punishment from the NFL. Obviously, the Raiders or Aldon has heard from the NFL or else why sign the guy? He is done as a Niner forever. And he will tear it up in Oakland. Jed and Trent jumped the gun on this one. And we will have a full season of no pass rush.
Oh come on. That's BS. The 49ers didn't have a choice.
"Jumped the gun"!?! Seriously? That's ludicrous. His behavior dictated his release. Period.

I saw that too but don't really buy it. Niners weren't interested in him THIS year anyway. I don't think SF was an option.

Goodell please suspend Aldon for the entire year. That would be hilarious!

Maybe he'll realize after a year playing for that joke of a franchise, that he wants to be back with the big boys. He must clean his act up though and we've all read this story before.

I'm assuming everything in that incident was a misunderstanding and he'll be cleared of everything come trial time. If that's the case then the FO chose not to believe dude which sux.
