Are you sure the picture was really him? Can you see Pierre Paul's face or anything in the picture, or is it just the closeup of a hand? Seems like it would be pretty easy to crop a picture of whatever arbitrary burn/firework accident and circulate it around the internet under the guise of being from Pierre's accident.

Just curious, because I haven't been able to find the photo anywhere online...If Deadspin didn't post the photo (which, as far as I know, they didn't), then I have doubts that the picture floating around is authentic. (Deadspin is an absolute cesspool with zero journalistic integrity... if they didn't post it, then they probably deemed it a fake -- that's the only reason I could see them not putting it up.)

There are doubts about the pictures authenticity. However, that picture is straight up rotten.com s**t.

All the pictures ive seen are fakes. There's been 2 main ones that seem to be circulating.

The first is a man in red camo shorts sitting in the street with his hand blown to s**t and leaking blood everywhere. This one isn't even close to being JPP. The only similarity is they're both black men.

The other picture that everyone seems to be talking about is just a fist somewhat clenched up on some kind of table in what appears to be a hospital. This picture, if I remember correctly, is from like 2007 and is from a Thai or Malaysian man. It is a firework accident but it is most definitely not JPP

Dont need to be captain buzz kill. If you dont like the handful of posts on this thread then dont post here. Dont think the moderators would do that anyways, they dont rule with an iron fist. If I had to count the number of thread in this forum with posts like this Im not sure I could with all my fingers and toes.

Very possible its not him. But it fits the news reports we've seen… big ass black hand with the index finger blown straight to bone.

Half the comments say it is an old picture, and not his hand. This could definitely be fireworks, but it look more severe than just a single finger amputation. But what do I know?
