Pretty cool simulator website - http://www.whatifsports.com/nfl/default.asp#top

I simulated 10 times with the Ravens as the home team, we won 4 and lost 6.

Such a ridiculous post that it's hard to even know if it's serious.

94 Niners were #1 in offense and #6 in defense. In fact, they were #2 against the run and that's all the 2000 Ravens could do. That Ravens team had a #1 defense, but they were #14 in offense. And even worse, they were #22 in passing offense. And the 2000 Ravens were #8 against the pass.

So the '94 Niners would have matched up very well with the 2000 Ravens. That Ravens team didn't even win its own division. There is very little chance that they could have beaten the '94 Niners in a Super Bowl.

You had better luck than I did lol.

I simulated 20 times on a neutral site. 2000 Ravens won all 20 times. Only one time did the 94 Niners score 20 points, were held under 10 points several times, including a couple shut outs.

Needles to say, I think this simulator is crap. Whatever algorithm they're using to sim these games is way off lol.
That's a fun site. I just did the '89 Niners against the '13 Seahawks at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami. Niners 27 Seahawks 12

'94 Niners against the '13 Seahawks, Joe Robbie Stadium Niners 27 Seahawks 10

I thought the '84 Niners would have fared better, that was a 15-1 team that should have been undefeated. 2000 Ravens smashed them almost every time I simulated.

Right. I tried that one too and the results didn't make a lot of sense to me. That year the Niners were #2 in offense and #1 in defense. With their #14 offense, how does that Ravens team out-score the #2 offense when they have to face a #1 defense? I just don't get that one.

Seems to me they give a big advantage to defense. Like they take the Ravens average points allowed and apply it to all opponents. Kind of defeats the purpose of a simulator, since the '84 or '89 Niners are a hell of a lot better than anyone the Ravens played in 2000, but that's the only way you can explain the heavily skewed results.

The great 49ers teams were arguably the most dominant, balanced teams of all-time. Greatest QB, WR, and DB of all-time. Greatest offensive mastermind of all-time. A dominant defense. The 2000 Ravens could beat them, but not consistently if we're simulating multiple games. These results make no sense.

I just did the '81 Niners against the '00 Ravens. Ravens won 13-9 because of a 97 yard punt return for a TD (!). WUT?

lol damn we can't catch a break.
I just did the 2011 49ers and 2000 Ravens with the Ravens as the home team. I didnt change the playbook either.
It has the score come out to 5-5 in a 10 game sim
The Ravens had a great D, however, the blow-out of a .500 Giant team in the SB gives the illusion that they were invincible. That was a superlative 1994 49ers team. They would have gone onto greater heights but they lost their defensive MVP (Sanders) and offensive MVP (Watters) in the off season and that was the end of Super Bowl dreams
That 94 team began to steamroll the second half of the Detroit game. I respect that 2000 Ravens defense. I consider it better than 85 Bears. But we clobbered a much better team in the NFC title game that season. I hate Dallas. Always will but I cant deny that they were one hell of a team in the early 90's. The 94 squad was ridiculously talented.
I remember how the Ravens went 0 for October in regards to offensive TDs. How the managed to go 3-2 in those games is amazing lol.
