If he catches it the 49ers most likely win.

No animosity for him from me though, s**t happens.

Is he the new Kyle Williams?

You mean the guy that takes most of the blame and absolves the QB of his poor performance?

Probably.

Are they? I'm sure not lol.

That play was the nail in the coffin

Nail in the coffin was punting it away after trying to draw them offsides on 4th and 2 at the LA 45 yard line. This was the last somewhat effective drive our offense had in the 4th quarter and they quickly tied the game up after this series.

Kyle Williams lost that game and Tartt lost the game yesterday.

The rest of the team played a part for sure.

No. No one blamed Brown and Goldson when they collided and dropped a pick by Eli.
It's unfortunate he couldn't make the play and in the grand scheme of thing it was a missed opportunity, but the play still resulted in an incomplete pass. Kyle Williams turned it over twice, the second being in their own territory to set up the game winner. It's not even comparable.

It was. But even if he made the play, I still wouldn't bring him back. Tartt has peaked as a player. Time to get younger, cheaper, faster, and hopefully a combination of good health (fingers crossed), sound tackling, high football IQ, and can get some turnovers. If we are keeping Ward (we should), the interceptions have to come from somewhere.

Solid player though and gave us his all through 7 years and some really trying times.

Tartt is fast. Part of the reason GB didn't get any points to end the half. He is too injury prone but on other hand hes dirt cheap. If hes OK with being a potential backup Id keep him.
Not the reason we lost but I can't help but say eff this guy
Tartt is the most average safety I have ever seen. We need someone dynamic in the secondary. Ward is fine for now but Tartt needs to be replaced.

Tartt is a better eraser than Ward who lost complete track of the ball multiple times yesterday. I'm not the biggest Tartt fan but at least he hustles to catch up to a big play something a lot of these other guys don't do.

Our safeties were horrendous this game in coverage. They're so lucky the Rams had 2-3 TD drops.

Fair enough. I just want someone dynamic in our secondary. Dashon Goldson would have made that play. If we get a good upgrade at secondary and interior oline and Trey plays how we all know he can, we're back in the nfc championship again next year
