Yeah, he got that shoulder fixed, so I expect better play from him going forward. Looks like he's in great shape, so that should really help.

Defo is beyond massive. Look at the size of his hands. Those have to be the biggest paws in the NFL.

Lol AA is all neck!!
And his chick is all ass.
Who's between Dial and Armstead?

AA is a huge guy, big hands, big neck, big legs , same for upper body....and yet...and yet...next to DeFo, he looks like a toy doll. Good grief, is it possible De Fo got way bigger everywhere in just one off season. Surely not his hands, but those hands look like massive clubs. Anybody who lines up opposite DeFo is going to have a brief run of tachycardia, followed by some major league lumps all over his body. If he were just big , that's one thing. But DeFo is not only massive, he is stronger than an ox. Man, can anyone not be excited about the first defensive snap of the new season? Just watching this one man perform will be worth the price of admission. And...he was tough to handle last yr. Now put AA and Solomon with Mitchell on the DL with him...or pick whoever at slot #4, and you have a machine coming at you. The REAPER....the grim reaper.
We'll have to wait for season to start, but the REAPER LINE sure looks like a handle for these guys. And they aren't just big, either. They are tough, mean, aggressive on the field.
Adding Solomon to this crew is a lot like adding KD to the star studded Warriors.
Whoever found and posted the picture, thanks. "A picture is worth a thousand words" was never truer than right here.

AA is being seen as an elephant, ala Charles Haley and his body reflects that. DeFo is more of an inside guy, ala Bryant Young.

Will have to see if he is much quicker at his new weight. He was slow off the ball last year and an Elephant needs to be quick twitch in my opinion. But he can still be a new type of elephant..."Heavy Elephant" maybe?

Yeah, I can see AA being a Richard Seymour type of rusher. Heavier then maybe Haley, but powerful and more quick twitch.

I like it... was very skeptical at first until Saleh noted he'd only get looks there. Meaning, base downs and then moved inside where he can rotate in at all 3 spots. But while he's at LEO on base, that big body could bull rush and slant in freeing up others and when he lines up wider, help collapse the edge and run defend with that long wingspan. I love it...we have the "big (left) end" and the "big LEO" on base downs. It's so crazy, it just may work.

And him and Defo are still babies. And we not even talking about Solly.

The starting DL could average 22.5 years of age!

Armstead and Buckner are 23, Thomas 21 and that leaves DJ Jones and/or Blair at 22 and 24. Mitchell could screw it up--29! Old man!

One being he will implicitly learn directly from Elvis and get great confidence in his non-negotiable intangibles. Plus he will get to see the amount of work that a true professional has to do to compete at the very top.
Talent only gets you so far.
Your mental state and your desire for hard work are the difference makers.
This is what will lead AA to have his break out year.
Our slow 6-7 280lb DE is going to learn from our quick 6-0 pass rush specialist?
Shrinking pills! They are illegal in some states but...
Absolutely he will learn from Elvis. That is the whole day of inter generational development
Even if it is off field professionalism or intensity on the field; there is always something to learn in life.
Learn or Die.

Matt Maiocco and Taylor Price talked about questions within the 49ers organization about Armstead's desire to be a great football player.
It starts at 43:00
http://niners.vsporto.com/episode/22512/taylor-price-talk-exclusive-matt-maiocco-names-best-and-worst-players-from-49ers-offseason/
I felt the same way about Armstead coming out of college. I never really saw anything on tape that excited me about Armstead. I thought he was a day 2 prospect. Just have to wait and see what happens moving forward.
