Solid player. Nothing special yet. I would have drafted someone else.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ARMSTEAD. If you want to say something about a player and Armstead is not involved don't post it in Armstead thread, post in the players thread(Peters thread is in NFL talk).

Clearly I'm not a fan of AA. Hated the pick but usually I'm not so one sided on things but I really don't see how anybody can defend this guy. He is physically massive OK I get that. I also get that he's extremely raw but the guy is horrible in the sense that he doesn't have an ounce of fight in him. Watch the tape and tell me im wrong. He reminds me of the pre-Singletary VD without the talent

I hated the pick too (I wanted Shane Ray, but I liked Marcus Peters a lot too). I was extremely critical of his play in college, and my only hope was that the reports of him playing his junior year with an injury were true.

I hope him being soft has more to do with him being 22 year old than it does his nature. We all knew he was raw & probably wouldn't show much as a rookie, but a rookie in week 1 isn't the same thing as a rookie in week 16. He hasn't done anything to change my mind, and I REALLY hope he proves me wrong by coming in ripped and angry next year.
Jesus are we still on the Marcus Peters thing?

He was not an option so stop b***hing about it. Peters is making plays but he's also surrendering a ton of TDs, nobody is bringing up those stats.

Peters wasn't going to be a pick because of his off the field issues. Let's not forget we've seen highly talented players drop in the draft and be COMPLETELY removed from some team's draft boards because of their character issues.

We just had Jed York make his stupid "We need to win with class" BS...they can't then draft a kid with character issues in the first round. It's one thing when you draft guys later in the draft who have off the field issues but you don't do that in the first round.

If Peters punches Andy Reid next year or gets arrested for a DUI are we still saying he should've been the pick?

I thought it was funny when he got thrown to the ground like a rag doll and the running back tripped over his limp body. Must have been one of his 2 tackles on the day. I wonder how many pff points he got for that one?

he had more offside penalties than tackles.

Have you actually been watching him play?

Armstead was supposed to be a project pick and few of us expected him to see the field much as a rookie. He's gotten more playing time than many of us expected and has made a much bigger impact than any of us expected in the snaps he did receive.

How you can watch the games and think he's soft and doesn't do anything is beyond me. He may not have a kick the QB when he's down type mean streak but he plays with power and is able to push guys around on the offensive line. The biggest knock on him was his pass rush ability and that has been arguably his biggest strength so far. As a 3-4 DE he'll never have godly sack numbers but the kid has been getting pressures and pushing the pocket nearly every time he gets to rush the passer.

He should only get better as he gets more comfortable in the NFL and as a DE with proper coaching.

You have to wonder how sad these guys' lives are that they're cheering against their own team/players just so they can say "I told you so" on an online message board with strangers.
