There are several high priced players wasting cap space. Buckner was so vital I wish we found a way. Our D Line got us to the ship really.

I liked DB over AA. I'm sure Colts wouldn't have taken that trade for AA?

aWeak ArmHurts benefited from our great D last year, but no way he's better than Bucko..

Pretty much agree. A mobile QB is virtually impossible to stop. You can slow them down, but it takes the entire team to win against them. In other words, totally agree that the offense has a big part to play in defeating mobile QB's. You have to outscore offenses like dual threat QB offenses. I really want Kyle to re-think the kind of QB that operates his offense. Nothing against Jimmy, but I'm thinking if we can get a strong armed mobile QB at the 3rd position instead of BeatHard, I think that would be one move I'd agree with.

Threat qbs can't be stopped is a myth. I find it hilarious is that the fans craved pocket qbs when we had Kap but now want a dual threat because we have jimmy

Kap is nowhere as nimble in the backfield as pipsqueak and Widget. Hes a f**kin statue like the rest of em. But he was good if he saw a lane due to his giddy up.

People love to make it out to be DeFo or AA straight up that they were choosing between. That's stupid
It was DeFo, or AA+Ward+Kinlaw really. DeFo is making something like twice what AA is pulling in the first two years. The Colts offering up a first made the decision a bit easier, although still was a bit of a surprise, overall too.

Against a banged up Cards OL. This team lost 2 OL players and we still had to blitz to bring pressure. It may not be time to press the panic button but wave a red flag? Certainly.

those were our issues last year, then they upgraded the wide outs vs our secondary who. like in the jh days., is not that great if they do not get a decent pass rush

And to be honest people forget both games against the Cards last year could have easily been losses, the fact remains the Niners have issues with Mobile QBs. Armstead and the rest of the DL did the best they could to be honest. The issue wasnt in creating pressure it was in containment, Saleh could have used a safety to spy Murray but instead made no adjustments. This is the knock I have on Saleh when things are clicking he looks great but when it comes to actually coaching and making adjustments to your scheduled gameplan thats when the Niners look lost. This goes for Shanahan as well.

I don't think we have issues with mobile QBs...it's just our defense is so heavily influenced by our pass rush that when they cannot just do their usual stuff the rest of the defense has to be perfect and they weren't yesterday.

Overall they really didn't play poorly. Cards got two TDs from a blocked punt deep in our territory and a flag filled drive that should've been a safety in our favor...honestly the refs flagging that on KW is a preseason call that's iffy. Not sure why time and time again we're finding ourselves getting fisted via bad calls. Maybe I'm biased but I don't recall a single questionable call against Cardinals that helped us in a key moment.

How many drives did they keep alive with calls?

Of course end of the day we have to play well enough where bad calls can't kill us. We didn't do that which is why we're 0-1 right now.

It's one game People lol everyone played average at best. Maybe it was rust, who knows. But we'll be back next week.
