Scratching my head on this one, I'm assuming there is something we don't know.
That being said, great job
Hopefully we don't see this guy on the other side of the field anytime soon

Gonna miss ya, Vic!

Disagree. It wasn't a dick move because until you're 100% sure that you're going to pull a trigger, you don't let your plan b have a chance to go. It was a business move. Once they locked down, they released Vic so he can go find a job else where. It's not like they've been dragging this out. Technically, the season isn't even over.

What about the other "Harbaugh" coaches? Did they just decide that all of them would be fired as well?

I don't believe that for a second, I think as soon as Harbaugh was gone they were gone too...it was just done in stages to look like they were "going through the process" and "evaluating".

No, because I don't think they really were 100% sure that Tomsula was ready. They probably wanted to make sure they had the pieces in place they think they needed to pull that trigger. My guess is that they already know what they'll do for OC now that they have pulled the trigger. They obviously targeted the Raider's DC for the DC job which made Vic expendable.

They were really chasing Gase..so my guess is that they would have pushed Vic to stay if they went with an offensive minded HC (like Gase or Shanny). That would keep some stability on the team.

The question in my mind is: What happened that made them pull back from Gase? What was it they were able to secure that made them feel comfortable to pull the trigger on Tomsula.

Only because I think we're going back to the cellar anyways, but I hope Vic goes to the Cards or Hawks, or some team with a ton of talent on Defense.

Dafuq? You call yourself a niner fan? Even if you think were going to be terrible next year, why would you hope our rivals get better?

they're not.
they want this team to fail more than anything.
makes no sense why we fired the guy.

Thanks for you approval, or lack thereof. I guess you're addressing me but I'm not plural (they're or they) and I definitely don't want my team to fail.

However, I also don't approve of how Jed, and his muppet trent, are treating this team. This staff that has given them the only success they know.

I do wish Vic all the best, and I hope he lands on a team that allows him to utilize great players in better schemes. Because Jed/Trent felt the need to block him from interviews before, and now those slots are filled, I hope he ends up in one of the few remaining spots that are still open...that aren't named the Raiders.
Thanks for a great and entertaining 4 years of D Vic! Now if you could just take Jed and his power mad b***h boy Baalke with you we'd be eternally grateful!

Seeing Vic Fangio leave makes me sick to my stomach. Actually seeing the whole defensive staff leave makes me sick to my stomach and hate the hiring even more. F*** You Jed York.
Why couldn't they make Fangio the HC and the Jed/Baalke pet boy the DC?

This thing just keeps going down.

Not just you. there are plenty like you riding around.
You don't approve of Jed who are you? Who am I? We can't pick our owner you have to love the team.
They blocked him from interviewing laterally because im sure a decision was not made so why would they let him interview to be a DC elsewhere?
They've never stopped him from getting a head coaching opportunity but that didn't come from anywhere but us.
I don't want him in the division Anywhere else I don't care.

You guys are extremely disrespectful to Tomsula who was here and responsible for good defensive front before we even knew who Vic was for this team.
Just ridiculous.
Everyone would be happy with a 36 year old 1st time coach or a coach whom would only be around for 1 or 2 years max before retiring than promoting from within the organization someone who automatically commands the respect for his love and knowledge of the game by the current players?
Just because you don't like Jed York?
