The offensive coordinator Rex Ryan is most likely to bring with him to Buffalo is 49ers OC Greg Roman, per source.

TBF, I don't hate the guy and wish him well. But good-riddance!

Now, who on the offensive side do we have left to cut ties with? Obviously, Rathman is a keeper...

It's silly to nit-pick a few plays and use them as an example of Roman's inability. You can do that for every coordinator, including the greatest. He had many great ones in there as well - especially in years 1-3.

Greg Roman was with us during our renassaince these past few years. And our success had a lot to do with him. He helped bring us out of the doldrums. Now we're ready to take the next step.

I wish Greg well. He was a big jump up for us. Excited to see him get another shot. He' earned it.

a nice attempt to humanize roman. a few plays? his crowning achievement on his resume is the fact he did not allow our team to win a very winnable super bowl game, i think i will just stop there for the sake of my own mental health

lol at the people defending Roman.

Anyone remember the fly sweep toss or whatever it was to Ted Ginn in St.Louis from our own 15 yard line? Fumble and Rams TD that ensued would pretty much seal our fate for that game.

3 straight passes to Crabtree at the end of the Superbowl? Just 5 yards away when Gore had piled up 130 yards that game?!

The games he called this year were the ones that sealed his fate. This season was a complete disaster on the offensive side of the ball, it's a little harder to bring up specific situations because he sucked every f**king game. I will say that his game plan against in Seattle this season was not too bad.

But yeah, this guy sucks. Flat out incompetent OC. I think I read somewhere that his only prior OC experience was in high school.

f**k Roman, oh and by the way, f**k HARBAUGH.
what started the whole thing was the toss to kyle williams with a wet ball on a wet field vs the giants in the title game which of course failed which of course led to a giants touchdown,, the super bowl sealed his fate with me and then it was pretty much the bataan death march in my opinion

So they are all gone now. Question beggs does our new coach and OC who will have much more talent and not dealing with a lock out win 13 games in his first season? If he doesnt should we fire him? In year 2 does he have to make it to the superbowl? Is it a failure if our new teacher an his great new offense doesnt win the division and win 13 games?

No, he will be given 4-5 years just like Harbaugh. The first goal will be restocking talent for the new system...WCO? The new HC, like Harbaugh, will have plenty of talent to work with plus a top 5 defense. He, like Harbaugh and his assistant coaches, will have to coach up/teach the offensive side very quickly. If we can go from 25th in points to 15th in year 1, it will be a big improvement but enough to get us into the playoffs and even potentially, win the division.

Well, um, he is human -- after all. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in Buffalo. Have a great day.

Spoiler alert:

He will run the ball a lot and get QBs killed more.

Will call twice as many deep balls than Tom Brady (an offense that passes twice as much as us)! LOL

Still mind boggling.
