Until halftime
the biggest problem is vic fangio has apparently lost it too

usually we could count on vic making adjustments. it used to be get what you can in the 1st half because the 2nd half he's going to shut what you're trying to do down.

i mean that brown 1st td.

you have wr's on that side of the field and NO safety help over the top?

really?

it was unnecessary. the cardinals were geared up to stop the run.
uptempo spread offense they had no answer for it the only thing they could do was blitz and when that is picked up we picked them apart.

does not make any sense to go away from it when they proved they couldn't stop it

Into a wall? I had no problem with them not running the ball. The spread looks they were using were working beautifully, as soon as they got away from it, the offense went kaput.

Agree--They just started using this type of formation this year and folks are already tired of it? Let's let them get comfortable with it and see if it means a better run in the playoffs before panicing!

I saw some things in this game that I was very pleased with: no huddle offense, 5 WR sets, and a couple of screens (even though the o line don't know how to block for their RB) So at least he is trying to do new things. I really wished that we would've stuck with that no huddle pace offense longer.

Agree BUT they kept up that read option after AZ made adjustments for it.

they had no answer for the spread offense.

none. and especially after Cromartie went down..

no excuse

I agree with what you guys are saying. But in all honesty, what can the team do now? What are the options for them now? Who do we turn to for help?

1. Greg Roman should be fired immediately. And no, this is not a knee jerk reaction. The man is a walking piece of mediocrity.

2. Geep Chryst should take over offensive coordinator and play-calling duties.

Chryst served as San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach (1999-2000). Chryst implemented the no-huddle offense in San Diego in 1999, which led to Harbaugh enjoying the second-highest passing output (2,761 passing yards) of his 15-year career. The Chargers also completed the most passes (332) in 13 years with Chryst directing the offense and Harbaugh became the first quarterback in team history since Hall of Famer Dan Fouts to pass for 400 yards in a game, that year.

In 2009, Chryst was part of an offensive coaching staff that helped the Panthers become the first team in the history of the NFL to garner two running backs with more than 1,100 yards rushing in the same season.

The 2012 season showed Chryst's strengths and expertise as the teams quarterbacks coach in captializing on the strengths of the starting quarterback. Midway through the season, Kaepernick was named the teams starter. Chryst's quarterback duo of Kaepernick and Alex Smith, tied for the fewest interceptions in the NFL (8), ranked 4th in quarterback rating (101.2), and 4th in completion percentage (66.3).

So lets try this again.

This, please!!!!!!

tired of it? it's our cowbell. we have the wr talent to finally run it
it forces the other team to blitz and 1 on 1 we kill
zone which our guys find the spots and we kill
play man to man if the play breaks down kap gets out for 8 yard gains...

This. Smart coaching utilizes the personnel you have, not the personnel you wish you had. This is not a power running offense at this current time. The best advantage comes from utilizing the spread looks, forcing defenses to cover and stop everyone, letting them choose who will be the one to beat them. Kaepernick never looked more precise or confident than he did today, pass after pass he was just gunning them in, making his reads, the OL could have given him more time but while they were running those spread looks, he seemed incredibly confident and on fire.

Haha now some of you want Geep Chryst as OC? The guy who ran the 26nd ranked offense in 1999 and the 28th ranked offense in 2000. I would give it two weeks before you started the Is Geep Chryst a good OC or Fire Geep Chryst NOW!!!!!!!!

Totally agreed. Boldin's penalty did kill the drive, but it made absolutely no sense to put Frank back in the game with 1st and goal from like the 20, and then split him out wide as a decoy...wtf? And then he was left in as an extra blocker/checkdown option (so basically, useless again) the next couple plays.
