I think I heard, the wildcard teams would play each other and all other teams would get a bye.
this is horrible. once this gets passed so will begin the fall of football...if that hasn't happened already.. bad bad bad..player safety my ass too. but it's a business and it's about $$$$

From what I heard it's the #1 seed that gets the bye, everyone else is playing. Letting almost half the teams in the playoffs devalue the importance of the regular season and really onlly adds excitement to those bubble teams. Can't really see what's in it for the clear cut contenders. Would rather see them go the NCAA Tournament route and do a "play in" game scenario, maybe even two play in games per conference.

This. Plus gives even more strength to those with weak division foes to inflate their records to a number 1 seed. *cough* Patriots *Cough*.

Real bad idea. Real bad.
Increase the # of games to 24-30, but increase rosters to 75 or even 100. play in rotations. Make each round of playoffs a best of 3 series.

Might as well let everyone into the tournament as an "at large" and have at it. Everyone's a winner then!

#1 can play #32, #2 can play #29....etc....

and replace all TV broadcast teams with this guy

i wouldnt mind 7 teams in each conference. that would make it 14 out of 32 teams, any more than that i would have a problem with. they switched to 6 playoff teams in 1990, this was pre-carolina, jacksonville, houston texans and the re-incarnated browns. so that was 12 out of 28 teams or 42.8%. having 14 out of 32 is 43.7%. i also like the fact only 1 team would get a bye, too often you see a team dial it down as the #2 seed and give up trying to catch the #1 team because they know the 3rd seed probably wont catch them

I think the dude has an ego the size of Texas and wants to do as much as possible to leave his mark on the game. I can't believe the NFL has a dictator who makes $40 million a year. They should have a ruling committee that passes everything with a majority vote.

Seriously, outside of a few decent seasons by Miami and New York (Jets), the Patriots have had NO real competition for that division since the Belichick/Brady era.

I'm not trying to knock what they've accomplished because they've definitely had sustained success, but when you're spotted 6 wins every year, it makes things a whole lot easier.

The opposite is true in the NFC Least. Which is full of perpetually underachieving teams who win the division in week 17 with a 9-7/10-6 record.
Goodell can EAD.S**t aint broke, dont fix it a wise man once said......

What that douche needs to do is somehow make it where 9-7 and 8-8 teams dont get a home game because they won a stank ass division.

Also,a team with a lower record gets a home game and a 12-4,13-3 team goes on the road needs to change.Hell, while he's at it,8-8 or lower doesnt get in at all.
