Lynch won't see the field in 2014. I have a feeling they want to test his mental makeup by forcing him to practice hard and not play. JH is gonna break him in and if Lynch doesn't comply, then he will be out.

Because his measurables are much more impressive than your average fifth rounder. He's a little taller, stronger and quicker than Anthony Barr, who was chosen 9th over all. Barr had a slightly better 40 time, but Lynch had a better 10 yard shuttle and an equal 20 yard, Lynch did three more 225 lb. presses than Barr and his long jump was 3" shorter than Barr. And, Lynch has slightly longer arm length than Barr.
Bottom line is that Aaron Lynch looks like he could have been a high-first round pick if he didn't have some problems in college evidently related to motivation and following certain coaches' orders. And, one of Harbaugh's best friends has vouched for him and thinks he'll actually thrive in Harbaugh's atmosphere.
That's why I care about the guy.

Put on his notre dame tape. this isnt your average 5th rounder. he was a monster when he was about 30lbs heavier and playing the 5 technique(same position justin smith plays for us).

I'm less enthused about his measurables and more excited about footage I've seen. Granted, they are only highlights, but he looks fierce and absolutely dominant at times. We will have to see whether he can maintain interest and effort, but for a 5th round selection, I think it's worth the (low) risk.

Is this guy a real linebacker or real DE or just a pass rush specialist? Does he cover? Will he hit marshawn Lynch frickin hard or go crying back to USF? I am so tired of these boutique players that do just one thing. Give me a reason to care.

I don't know that I've seen him cover. When I watch his college highlights, it doesn't look to me that he was ever asked to do anything but play DE. He's got speed so that's probably why I hear they want to try him at OLB. He looks like he'd best fit in Brooks position if he pans out. He definitely holds the edge and clogs the tackle gaps on runs and he absolutely hits hard. I wouldn't call him a "boutique" player. He's a pass rusher who's good on the run as well. That's the way I see him at least.

No.
Lynch showed flashes of having the wrong attitude.
Just because he had issues as a freshman 2 years ago at ND doesn't mean he still has those same issues.
Lynch Project- All the right skills, had motivation issues 3 years ago
Okoye project- Never played football, right attitude

I don't know. These plays are from his time at FS when he supposedly wasn't doing as well as he did at Notre Dame. I see quite a few tackles in space.

His natural abilities really jump out in that highlight video. You can see the length, flexibility, hand strength and quickness that lead many to say he has 'first round' talent.
High expectations can be tough. After what he did at ND, perhaps many of the coaches and players were looking at him as a saviour for the program of sorts, and that is a hard thing to live up to. Seems that once he settled into the program a bit towards the end of the season, he really started to produce again.

Now I admit, I knew nothing about Aaron Lynch prior to the draft but after watching some highlights of him, it actually looks like a good pick considering 5th round. He has the skills but he needs the coaching which he will get. This guy Lynch has a chance.
Suspension? For doing what?
He already suspended himself for the DUI last year.
