I'm still not with the bench Gore crowd, but Hyde is going to be very difficult to keep off the field.

just split the carries on the situation and team we're facing. hyde can do what gore does out of power but hyde is special in the read option too.

man no idea how we got him

That run in the endzone where he barreled through to the three yard line was impressive.

Most of the action we've seen not named Gore have been running through huge holes on sweep plays. Through one game, it definitely looks like we've found Gore's replacement. Bitter sweet.
Gore still has great vision, but he doesn't have the speed and power that he once did. If there aren't holes to sneak through, he often times is not capable of manufacturing yards (the games in Seattle come to mind). Hyde looks like a force -- a guy who can will and power his way forward and create yards on his own. I know it's only one game, but I feel like he's going to be an asset in goal line situations this year. He also has enough speed to run off-tackle.
So proud of Hyde ... I remember in high school when he was rated as a fullback because he wasn't athletic or explosive enough to play running back... Lmao.

Hyde is going to take over sooner rather than later. It's apparent who the better back is. Love Frank but his time may have come..

I was thinking the same thing. Hyde easily looked better than Gore today.

I hate to admit it, but I thought Hunter looked better than Gore before he hurt his Achilles. Gore has unparalleled vision, but he lost a lot of explosiveness, imo. Hyde brings a quickness and explosiveness like we haven't seen in a while.

Seriously, I'm so ready to cut James. I'm embarrassed for him and whoever is advocating to bring him around. Dude is completely ineffective. No doubt he is insurance for Ellington and any RB that goes down.
Hyde is a beast can't wait to see more of him
He looks like beast mode out there. I really like this guy.

I don't know about easily. Gore was ripping off runs too. Hyde easily looked FASTER and more explosive.. but Gore is that sneaky dude that turns something normal into an 8 yard gain.

One thing that was huge: his pass protection was solid. He's a beast and should be taking 10-15 touches per game IMO. Frank Gore healthy at the end of the year will be awesome with Hyde just chomping at the bit to get in.

He's a heck of a lot faster than the 83 speed that the madden d-bag team gave him haha
