Vic Fangio said CB Jimmie Ward has injury to same foot that underwent surgery in March. Damn. Hopefully it's not too bad this time and he can come back soon.

Damn man...these injuries are out of control...
So that makes Brock and Ward both out for the game. I'm guessing we'll move Cox to the slot, and Johnson on the outside when we go Nickel D.

I hope the injury explains his play this season. He has not been good.
I see Ward as a future-backup safety and possibly a starter if Bethea becomes too expensive to keep & the Niners need cap room. I say see what Dontae Johnson can do at the CB position.

The issue I have is Cox is playing lights out on the outside and I don't want to see him go to the slot...I like what Johnson brings with his size, but I'm not feeling him lined up against OBJ
