I would've traded him for a corn dog (even if bitten off just a little bit).......... $3 Mill guaranteed

Shanny and Lynch really care for him, I don't blame them. He's a high character player and more than likely a really good guy. Shanny may say things like we'll go to war with Ward...that's cool, but I highly doubt we'd get to a SB if we had to rely on him.

After the Marsh deal, I wouldn't doubt that Ward goes to another team by kickoff...
at least use that 3million on a FS that can start for our team...
I wish someone would give me 3 million dollars guaranteed for being injured.

unlike ward. you are not war worthy
there are people starving all over the world and ward gets 3 mil.
Here's what I want to see from Jimmie in the preseason & in games this year to back up why the coaches think so highly of him as a player:

1) In practicing and playing only FS, I want to see him flat-out making some plays...how about an INT or two (like when he made the good read & he took that one to the house vs. the Bears)...some passes defensed cleanly...some good tackles right when a ball is caught or in run support...forcing and/or recovering a fumble...in other words, being a playmaker out there.

2) Some consistency of the above. No one-game wonder, just consistent good play.

3) Durability. I want to see it. Do whatever he has to do (legally) to get on the field and stay on the field. In saying this, I know he's had some tough luck with injuries...would be nice to see that luck change.

Just trying to keep things constructive in my mind re: Jimmie going into this offseason and beyond - as long as he's still on this team. Sure, it's easy to bash him and that's already been taken care of in spades in this thread, and for good reason. Let's see what happens this season - I'm pulling for him to succeed as it would greatly help things in the backend and this D overall.

Should be achievable if he stays healthy. If not....
Have they yet to place him on IR?

Prediction: Jimmy will stay healthy and shine at free safety.

Not yet. He's hanging in there with his paper cut and hangnails.

He might have to go to war with those minor injuries if we're attacked ~ Shanny
