Shanahan, Lynch and the coaches must see things that we don't. They're around him a lot more and see for themselves a lot more than any of us fans. They also obviously know a lot more about what a good football player looks like on the playing field. Regarding staying healthy, I'd do whatever it takes to try to reduce the odds of getting re-injured. I know that a lot of times it's just dumb buzzard's luck. The Niners have a new strength & conditioning team...maybe it'll help him more in some ways. I know he's not the biggest guy...I don't know, wear some padding on your forearms, get larger shoulder pads, whatever, like they used to do years ago. Whatever you can do to help your chances to stay on the field. We as fans need to see more of whatever ability Ward has that's impressed his coaches and this regime.

That often times is the problem too. They are so wrapped up in personal relationships that they can't untie themselves from guys LIKE Ward, Mabin, Powell, M.Smith, Exum, etc. There are clearly very strong personal relationships there.

Anyone who objectively watches 5 minute of game film on these guys will tell you, they are a liability on the field.
