We already got enough problems with Aldon. Desean and he would be trouble.

Gangland would film the documentary.

Too bad Ballke is a Blood, trade will never happen.

LOL. We need a photoshop of Baalke throwing up the "blood" sign.

The simple fact that we wear red would be a problem for Jackson.

As far as we know he has not been convicted for doing anything illegal.

But, you know and I know, that being convicted for a crime and doing a crime are not the same.

Bells went off when I read about the robbery that had no signs of forced entry and the size of the take.

Sounded like possible pay back to me.

I am going to read the article again and try to make sure this is not Florio-type journalism.

edit: I read the article again. I was not overly impressed by the evidence provided by the author, in fact I am not sure that any real evidence was offered.

I admit that my take on Jackson is entirely negative, but on this gang affiliation accussation I would essentially give him a pass.

We will see if there is more to this than the reported Baalke-Harbaugh feud.

I heard he gives back to all the local gangs in his community
Having a hard time with this one. Although the pics are pretty damning, I believe that if Desean were out participating in gang activity, it would be well known by now. Because arrests (and lots of them) tend to come with that sort of thing.

Sounds to me like he's putting on a front to stay cool with the homies. Definitely sad and unfortunate, but you see celebrities doing this kind of stuff all the time.

Disappointing to be sure. The Eagles and NFL will have to be careful to ensure that the reason they are cutting Djax is because of the salary. If it gets out they cut him because of the allegations it could create a PR problem for them. As far as any of us knows, he has committed no crime. All this gang s**t could also be him trying to be a tough guy. Either way, his association does not necessarily make him a criminal. Maybe an accessory to some crimes. I am not trying to absolve him, but he does have rights and this is America, land of the free and home of the lawsuit.
Didn't want him before.

Right now we have a team w/almost zero divas and drama, outside of what went on w/Aldon. Bringing in this guy would be asking for trouble we don't need.

If he has gang associations then he's poison. If not he's still a walking problem who has a lot of talent.

I really don't care how good he is if it would hurt the team.

After Aaron Hernandez, teams are apparently cracking down on this sort of stuff. This is one of the reasons being speculated for Philly being eager to let Jackson go.

"So it seems like the reason why the Eagles would want to get rid of Jackson is because of some off the field issue(s). According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, that seems to be the case. Look what McLane had to say in a recent column:

NFL sources have indicated that the Eagles decided to move on from Jackson after his South Philadelphia home was burglarized in early January."

"The real elephant is the room here, however, is Jackson's behavior and it's not about his diva-like attitude, his complaints about assistant coaches or his previous belly-aching over money.

Recently, TMZ Sports unearthed a picture of Jackson flashing gang signs with rapper Nipsey Hussle. In the photograph, Jackson was clearly shown throwing a hand signal for the Rollin' 40s Crips, a street gang from the west side of South Los Angeles, Jackson's hometown.

It was the second time in recent months the 2009 All-Pro made that mistake. He also was seen throwing up a Crips gang sign at Washington Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hall on the field back in September of last season.

Jackson also paid homage to his gang by naming his record label "Jaccpot Records" with the Cs standing for Crips. Meanwhile, in the video of a song titled "Diamonds on My Neck," featuring another famous former crip, Snoop Dogg, DeSean repeatedly threw similar gang signs.

Jackson's apologists correctly say the mere appearance of impropriety means nothing and point to the fact that while his behavior can be described as boorish at times, the star receiver has never gotten into any major off-the- field incidents.

Two league sources, however, confirmed to The Sports Network that an early January burglary in which Jackson was robbed of about $200,000 in cash, $125,000 in jewelry and a handgun raised some serious red flags within the Eagles organization.

It's completely unfair to bring up the name of Aaron Hernandez when discussing the Jackson situation save for one fact -- the Patriots ignored Hernandez's reported gang affiliation for far too long and unknowingly enabled the behavior which eventually put Hernandez in prison, awaiting trial on murder charges.

so which is the Crip sign? the first pic or the second, because they're two different hand gestures.
