Weird they could only exchange 7th round picks for the PFF top rated center for the last six weeks of the season

u trynna say PFF stats are a joke among NFL execs? I'm shocked.

Then why do 26 NFL teams subscribe to their services?
it's probably offered for free to all teams. it's garbage.

Nope, they pay for the premium service, and request the info be available early Monday morning.

But I get it, you don't understand it, so you hate it.
Introducing Mc kinnon and Richburg. nothing so far on Kilgore
Hell yea we're mad Kilgore was ballin and earned that extension. I understand it's a business but this was BAD business. You don't ship somebody in the heat of the moment. This was too quick and seemed emotionally charged for what we got for him.

Keep him, let him slowly get over it, convince him it's about the team. You just extended him, then you trade for the same position of course he is going to feel some type of way initially

Probably just upset that the new guy will get to have Jimmy come up behind them. Get over it Danny! Get out.

They did similar with Kerley last year, signed him then moved on. This is a business and the players know it.

I'm more impressed with Lynch's management style. These guys complain and don't want their new assignment, Lynch doesn't flounder, he cuts you or moves you. All those prime Donna's on the team need to think twice before going into his office to complain.

No bro, Lynch didn't cut Kilgore, Kilgore asked to be traded. Lynch had no choice.
We don't know exactly what was said but Lynch always has to take the high road in the media.

It sounded to me like Lynch asked him to move to G, Kilgore was hurt and said he no and would rather be traded, so Lynch made it happen fast. Similar to last year with Bowman

So that report (from a Dolphins blogger) about asking Kilgore to move to Guard pure BS. As I expected.

I wonder what Jimmy has to say about this, after saying him and Kilgore hit if off?

It's business.

And probably thinking he won't have to do as much of this:

I think this is also some good news for the RBs
So with Kilgore gone, that just leaves Staley as the last 49er from our SB team

Agree...Kilgore was OK at times but he also got paid for long periods when he was rehabbing. He was treated fairly. We didn't lose an all pro.

You really need to spend some time reading through the articles in the newsfeed before coming in here and sharing your "opinions". ( I actually edited that last comment down from shooting your mouth off but you get the point) If you did you would have read that Barnes and Zuttah were brought in last year to provide competition for Kilgore. He ended up beating both of them out. For his efforts last year he was given the Bobb McKittrick award in appreciation of his effort and commitment. They extended him on a very team friendly deal with the caveat that his guaranteed roster bonus would be due three days after the league year started, which would give them time to find another option without incurring any additional cost. They signed Richburg, whom almost every analyst who has bothered to weigh in on the matter has said is a better fit for their scheme than Norwell would have been and they got him for less money then Norwell received and upgraded themselves at a position that almost everyone in this forum thought needed doing. Fusco's gone, Kilgore's gone, along with their salaries with no financial repercussions for the team. Fusco was a free agent and Kilgore's salary is being taken on by the Dolphins. The team has Magnuson, Tomlinson, and Garnett all coming back this year and are in a position to draft a pretty good guard if that is what they are inclined to do. Seems to be that things have worked out pretty well al around.

Who do you think you are? You think you work for the 9ers and knows exactly the ins and outs? LOL. Give me a break!! You make it sound like Magnuson, Tomlinson and Garnett are all studs. They are unproven at best. If the objective is to upgrade the line, then they certainly haven't done so unless they take a top guard in the draft which is yet to be seen.

Everything in that post was taken from articles in the newsfeed, most of it reported from multiple sources. As to the question who am I, well I can tell you one thing I'm a guy that takes time to read what is going on about the team and not one who just comes in to "share my opinions" oblivious to all the facts relating to a certain topic. You should try it some time.

Chill please gentlemen.

Dumb horrible move and message sent by Lynch and Shanny.

So anybody can just trot in the office ask for a trade and it's granted?! F that. And we get nothing for him. What happened to competition? What happened to depth? How about being a MANAGER John, and not just offing guys for the sake of it.

We can't afford to lose offensive line pieces. And Kilgore is our 2nd longest tenured guy. TERRIBLE. Casted away Bow after disrespecting him and now we're starting Brock Coyle. If Lynchburg head doesn't hold up we're F'd.

Who knows how that conversation between Lynch/Kilgore went? Some people might spin it that a player is being a prima donna and JL axed him, but you could also spin it as Lynch giving a respected player the opportunity to start at Center for another team. I like to think it's the latter.

Seems to me that Kilgore wasn't highly valued. If he was, we would've given him more money and more guarantees. As much as I hate losing a serviceable, experienced guy like Kilgore, and similarly Bowman earlier this year, I like to think that they're thinking big picture and long-term. Kilgore never struck me as being a super great fit and was never a talent that blew anyone away. Yeah, could we have kept him for depth and maybe he wins a starting spot at Guard for a year or so? Probably. But at the same time, it didn't seem like he wanted to be here once he was put in that position. I think the feeling was that we didn't need to fight so hard to keep a guy for the short-term if he wanted to be a starter.
