He does have a point he does sign the checks. He wants total control so he can say "I am a football god". That's why he won't fire Garrett. He is so afraid another team will pick him up and win. He doesn't want another team to benefit from his efforts to groom a coach.

You'll always need divisions for scheduling purposes. Have to allow teams to play other teams close geographically for fairness in regards to travel schedules.

I strongly disagree and would get rid of divisions and merge conferences, but I know it'll never happen. Most people are too emotionally invested in division and conference rivalries for us to have a logical playoff system.

It's not logical at all. It's actually the opposite of logical. You'll have 49ers travelling to East coast for 8-10 games a year if not more.
