Thought this would be a fun thread to see who people like. I notice that most people complain about commentators, and they usually don't receive praise. I know people hate Gruden but he's one of the few who actually talks about the X's and O's.
On the other hand, I f**king hate Chris Collinsworth

i dont really hate any of them but dont really like any of them either. i just hate how inaccurate they've gotten with their opinions they try to pass off as fact. for exmaple every monday night gruden claims a 8 or 9 guys as being the best at their position.

I really really like Al Michaels.I feel he is the absolute best at what he does and never once did I think he wanted team A to win or lose over team B.Think he is extremely knowledgeable about the league and the ever changing rules.
Like Mayock also but though he is very good I don't thin k he is as good as Al.
I pretty much dislike every single other one and at times have felt they were biased towards or against a team.

I hate Joe Buck. Any time he calls a Niners game he sounds like he is rooting against them. He pounces on Niners' misfortunes and goes silent if they score. Even Troy Aikman sounds more objective than Buck and he was one of the biggest enemies of the Niners.

I think Brian Billick is pretty good too, though he doesn't seem to call many Niners games since we started winning.

For me my favorite was always Pat Summerall and Jon Madden since then ive lost all passion for announcers but if i had to pick one it's Al Michael hes always had a unique style ive always liked. I also enjoy Gus Johnson in a comical way. My least favorite is Buck and Aikman all they ever call is Cowboy games no matter who there playing and Buck is arrogant.

Dan Dierdork makes me what to listen to the radio. Cant stand him. Chris Collinsworth is next in line for the dislikes. Jon Gruden is just flat out strange.
Like Al Michaels, John Lynch, and Phil Sims. The rest I just put up with. Someone tell Dierdork to retire. Please!

Dierdorf and CBS announced his retirement this past week.

Al Michaels is of course the cream of the crop, but for sheer entertainment value Gus Johnson and Gruden are my favorites. Would love to see them paired up for MNF. Back in the day, I loved Madden/Summerall and Mike Patrick/Joe Theismann on SNF.
Would be happy to never hear Tirico or Buck again.

Even though his reputation is overshadowed by his failure as a GM, Matt Millen had some great insider analysis in the booth.
