As usual, harbaw never used stevie like he should have. One could say that about a lot of receivers. But crabs during his stay here has given us a holdout first yr and needed rest of yr to learn playbook, didn't do that great the 2nd yr, and later got injured. When he came back he had good days, and then he had stinkers. I wonder just exactly what we got out of crabs for his contract. No where near enough to keep him...IMO. Also, he tended to be kap's favorite target, instead of the better Anquan, even tho Quan got a case of the dropsies this past yr's end. Still, the jump ball pass on the OOB marker, an Anquan trademark, was never used by harbaw, nor by kap. Shame on them both. That remains the best weapon in any qB's arsenal. When it comes to crabs, I would say, have a nice day, get yourself all you can, (you know he will), and just hope we aren't the suckers paying for him. Stevie and Anquan plus VD playing WR, would be plenty good for me, plus we pick up a new WR in the draft.

With all that has happened bring Crabtree back. He isn't as bad as we say. Still try and draft a big fast WR but Crabtree would be the best we can get in the FA market.
he's gonna want way more money than he's worth. Boldin, Johnson, Ellington and draft a couple speedsters.
True. But Boldin is gone after next year and Johonson probably has to take a pay cut. I wouldn't mind cutting Johnson straight up and using that money to sign Revis. That would mean no Crabtree either and probably replacing Crabtree and Johonson with a drafted reciever and a cheap one like Hakeem Nicks
Seriously? So let me get this straight, we cut Crabs AND Johnson which would leave us with only one proven receiver? Then your solution to replacing them is to draft someone? Baalke still hasn't proven he can draft a legitimate threat at receiver (Patton and Ellington may be legit but no one can say definitively that they are). And finally to top it off you want to sign revis. With all the young talent we have at DB why the hell would we bring in revis?

I think Morton may have more to do with that than Baalke.
Also, the only WR Baalke has spent a high pick on was Jenkins.
1 time and now he can't find talent?
But I agree with you on Revis lol
Doesn't make sense to bring him in, plus I don't think we could even if we tried (cap space)

Jenkins IMO didnt get much of a chance. Just like Patton now. We just don't use all are depth players well, at least for WR.
Also I agree Morton was a terrible coach

That's cool. He did what he did here so good luck elsewhere. He wants big paper so I really really hope he finds it and we get a great comp pick for him. We need speed to complement Boldin and SJ and Crabtree ain't it. So we head to the draft to make that happenOriginally posted by Jcool:Robert Klemko @RobertKlemko

Don't get me wrong. I support baalke and believe he's great at drafting. Its not only one time though. I think you took my reply the wrong way. I don't think he cant find talent at WR just because of the Jenkins flub. I'm saying none of WRs he's drafted has produced significantly. I understand he's only used 1 high pick on a receiver but I think it would be foolish to put all put all our trust in Boldin, 2 unproven receivers, and another rookie. Just saying, it'd be stupid to get rid of Johnson. Atleast with Johnson we have 2 proven receivers as our 1 and 2 instead of boldin and a bunch of unknowns.

I get he's not a true #1WR, but this crap about him being a prima dona is BS
