He specializes in route running
and there are only about 5 corners in the NFL who can cover a good route. Maybe 5
So explain his lack of production with Kap as the QB?
Easy 2012 we ran wco type passing concepts with Crab
last season he was gone but came back same type of routes
this year he was delegated to fades and verticals or curls for the most part.
Check the tape, every time he ran a precision route it was basically no contest and completed.
his 2 longest td's were on a dino route
and a 10 yard slant route.
I hope you are going to qualify it better than that. I didn't watch game film this year like I have in the past, but I did see him run a number of slants, curls, posts and corner routes the same as previous years. In fact, if you pull up a highlights film, that's what you'll see. Of course, those were his opportunities. I'd be shocked in the coaching film didn't show that he wasn't getting open...or that now that the team had Boldin, Kap took less chances to feed Crabtree like he did previously. Crabtree is a solid WR...but that's it. Solid. He might go to the pro-bowl once or twice in his career.
