We'll see how letting him go affects our return game, especially now that LaMichael will be out for awhile with a sprained MCL. Let's see if Hawkins even makes the roster before claiming that he can more than fill in for Ginn, who fumbled a punt once in three years he was with the Niners.

This.

There's no receiver in the league that can catch up to an Alex Smith overthrow...
If Ginn stayed here and did that for us in a preseason game everyone here would be talking about how he was going to lead the league in receiving and sucking his cawk.
Two things. 1- It is preseason and 2- He played like a major puss last year and only efforted when he wanted. He only seemed like he tried when it mattered. Otherwise he ran out of bounds or laid down. Watch the film. It wont lie.

Against 2nd and 3rd team defenses that are playing vanilla. Its pretty much the same as if he went out to his local play ground and played against kids.
Did we even use Ginn at WR when Kap played?
Good for him
Ginn will wear down as the season progresses and will be standing on the sidelines by November.

He's trying to make an NFL team so of course he's going to step it up for them. it's like a player in their contract year breaking records and then getting lazy once he makes the team

we never gave him a true opportunity last year.

I remember his dad complaining about that.

last year, we only used him as a KR/PR. The year before that with Alex, we tried him at receiver often and he dropped passes.

but I personally hoped we had used him more with Kap late last year.

I remember he caught a 65 yard bomb from Nate Davis in preseason.

After we got rid of him, we still don't have anyone close to Ted Ginn's return ability.
He had one down year and everyone wanted to cut him.

Lavelle Hawkins had the #1 overall highlight and also returned a kick return for a TD. Hawkins > Ginn.

Wow Kaepernick lost weight!
Show the clip against the Giants when Alex put the ball right on target to Ginn only to have it go off his facemask for an int. Ginn is a PU$$! Ginn the WR is an epic FAIL! As KR all he did was run 5 yd. then go out of bounds. We can find anyone that can give more effort than that!
