To be fair, a lot of zoners here including myself liked him coming out.

He definitely has passion for the game and I liked his attitude his rookie year (so anxious to practice / play)...

#StillSucksTho #

The hand and foot injuries hurt him plus, the Niners were poor at rotating in rookies. He rarely got playing time and balled when he did. I remember him lighting it up in the preseason, scoring a long TD when he was in and that's it. Ellington was wrecking SD a few years back for that last game of the season and then barely sniffed the field that next season and Even last year, Burbridge was hyped like crazy and barely saw the field. It's for this reason that I'd rather us buy WRs.

I figured he could swing a one-year deal. I guess not. Still think he can be an effective number 4 receiver.

Id keep him around as a reserve WR and a major ST contributer. Plus he's a locker room guy

Dont blame this guy totally. The receiver coaching was sh**ty. No guidance whatsoever.

Of course not.. You blame Trent Baalke the GM who hoarders worthless acl draft picks, couldn't draft a wr to save his career and never drafted a Qb behind Kap to groom. You can't make Aj Junkins or Quinton trash good.. You avoid them in the draft and get quality prospects..

Kyle Williams, Ronald Johnson, Smelter...come on just use any draft guide and you can get better players than that.

The guy was seriously inept. How the f**k did we get to a Super Bowl? It's like we had a stock pile of trash.

Scott Mcloughlan had issues but he had an amazing eye for talent, and he was never afraid to go out and grab who we needed. He deserves most of the credit for building the super bowl team.
I bet if he had Brees or Brady throwing to him, he'd have 800 yard seasons. As a general rule, double any numbers receivers get with Kap as their QB.

Besides... draft profile said his NFL comp was Reggie Wayne!

The first four slots have been filled.

He would be a 5 at best.

It seems the FO is on full house cleaning mode putting their own players and getting rid what reminds them of the previous era. They are keeping the good ones tho

I think he's got a potential to become a #1 WR in the NFL. He basically took the Louisiana Tech offense, threw it on his back and carried it. Teams knew ahead of time that they HAD to shut him down, he was the majority of their offense and he still managed to make huge plays, he took a leadership role on the team and ran with it. He's been a guy that since high-school, has always elevated his game to the level of his competition, he's got tremendous work ethic and will put in the time necessary to improve himself to compete and be a good player at the next level.

49ers didn't just acquire a good receiver, they got a great character guy, someone who was active in the community, worked with charities, the guy who is the first one to show up at the team facility and the last one to leave, this is a hell of a get for the 49ers.

Him and current day Reggie Wayne is a fair comparison

That's too bad.
I always liked his fire and hoped he would develop into a good one here.
Good luck to him.
Kaeps fav target going to the Jets? hmm......

General Patton had flashes of being decent. Good hands but speed was meh. Decent height too.Good luck

He just doesn't fit in the new scheme. We have Kerley, Marquis Goodwin. Alrick Robinson. Now we need to draft some big body go to receivers.

Wish him luck. The combination of mediocre routes and inability to maintain control over his emotions hurt him. He never had a decent QB here but he didn't help either.

We have moved on to a higher level. I'm sure Shanahan has reviewed enough film of him to know he no longer fits here.
