We complain when they dont spend money, then some complain when they do

Vance is a good player, a mismatch and has sorted out his pass catching which has been good this year one of our very very rare threats on offense when used correctly. A bit too much cash but at least they are doing something.

You realize VD is having a better season than Vance in a backup role...should have kept him instead of overpaying.

Past 16 games he's played like a top 10 TE...why wasn't VD getting more than 245 yards his last two seasons in SF???why did he play worse then Vance has over the same span?? Why is he playing better in Washington? Maybe he's in a system that uses a TE and has a real qb...Imagine Vance in Washington.

I see most of the webzones mock draft/offseason with a re-signing of Vance McDonald. I'm surprised about the backlash.

Wait until Martelus signs during free agency. His contract will be much higher.

Interesting, I was sure he was going to be going elsewhere for far more money. Things are really coming together for him, still will drop that big play from time to time...but the light really seems to have come on for the kid. Good for him, I like the signing.

C'mon guys, on a team wiht no effective QB, Vance has hauled in passes for over 700 yds. On this team that is miraculous. Just imagine him with a real QB and not the imitations we have at QB. Think on that...the other thing is he blocks like an OL. He is a terrific blocker and is good at getting to second level also. Why knock one of the 2 or 3 actual ball players we actually have. Gads...

Damn, I was defending McDonald, saying the 49ers should keep him as opposed to cutting him like some 49er fans wanted. But I had no clue he'd be getting this kind of cash.
