I believe Delanie wasn't resigned because he wanted to be a starter and having VD at the time that will just make him a backup. Why would you hold him back from being a starter? I think the Vance signing is a good one, his guaranteed money ain't much compare to how much other TE will be asking for next year.

Past 16 games he's has 653 yards and 7 TDs...not to shabby with Blaine/kap throwing the ball with s**t around him.

Plus it's $16 million guaranteed not $35 million

This. In Kelly's offense Ertz got 6.5 targets a game.

Vance is now getting 4.5 (big up from HaRoman). Yet Vance is on pace to match his 3-year average in yards (675) and more TD's this year alone. They have identical yards this year but Vance has 2 more TD's.

The good news is that each year, Kelly used his TE1 more and more. 469 yards, then 702, & 853.

Kelly's got big plans for Vance?

His hands suck. they reached and gave a backup starter money to fill out a salary cap they can't spend because Baalke sucks at drafting and bringing in FAs

lol this is what its going to take to draw and keep talent with the futility of this team...I mean Tank is almost making $3 million for what....no production. We really suck is what this deal says....

Why? Market for RB's is low and Hyde has shown to be productive when healthy. 5 yrs, 25-30 mill and add another power back to the backfield via the draft.

Lets get back to reality...he's having a career year this year at 391 yards with 4 more games to go. Historically he's been injury prone his entire career at at one point last season he was leading the league in dropped pass percentage. Clearly he deserves top 10 money.

You realize VD is having a better season than Vance in a backup role...should have kept him instead of overpaying.
