Hey Alex Boone! Do you get it yet? Trent Baalke is a fricking beast. He doesn't blink. He doesn't move. He's a rock. Whoever is telling you that you can stare down Trent Baalke is full of it!

You can't get into football shape without playing football...
In addition, he's going have to learn the new playbook.
With our new receiving corps it will be a very different team thqn the one he left.

This guy is turning into an afterthought, the team moves forward and he is left behind. I almost forgot he was on our team the last 2 days thinking about the roster cuts looming then happening.

This fool & his agent both swear they are going to get top 5 tackle money. If they only knew that the Niners brass dont budge.

I hope Vernon gets a pay hike just to stick it in Boone's face.

boone can start at left tackle or right tackle in the nfl. atlanta would do well to give us a 2nd for him.

He doesn't count because he's a holdout. He's still under contract through next year and not going anywhere unless we trade him or he retires.

Man I thought Boone was a better team player than this. Who would have predicted last year that he would pull something like this? That's weak s**t Boone

Even if he retires, we own his rights, unless he waits for 2 years, which he won't. I would be surprised if he doesn't show up by next wednesday, if not, he loses base pay each game, and his roster bonus per game.

It is "interesting" that we only have 2 real G's on the roster...Mike Iupati & Joe Looney. That's it. Dillon is a C but can double as a G but he needs to focus at C b/c of the injury to Martin. I was very surprised we risked Seymour (for this very reason).

Absolutely! I guess he'll sit and hope that our line goes to pot or, someone gets injured.

What are the rules for returning if you retire? Is there a time requirement?

Look above you I quoted the answer you want. We own his rights through the contract so even if he retires and comes back the next day it's not like he can go to another team. He would have to retire for 2 years (the rest of the contract) before he is allowed to sign with any team he wants. It's a good rule or you would have guys retiring to get off a bad team or a bad contract and then coming out of retirement the next day to get a new contract or to sign with a better team. So he is ours unless we trade him.
