kind of an endorsement for Ahmad , the Packers rarely sign free agents , this means the Pack thinks he has some fight left in that 33 year old body , good for Ahmad, he'll have a crack at the playoffs if he signs with Green Bay

That is because Ted Thompson loves his comp picks. Signing Brooks, who was waived, would not affect that.
