Did Baalke acknowledge there was a victim in all of this? Was that a slip of the tongue. Roger has always waited to suspend players until the courts have played out. And Baalke also stated they are working closely with the NFL on how to handle the issue. I find it interesting how they haven't flat out defended Ray yet either. Or said he would be playing yet. Obviously there might be some serious questions still.

Or they don't want to let the Cowboys know he's playing.

Not really . . . I'm sure he meant alleged but just didn't see a need to be that precise. At this point everything is alleged.

I wish I could have been there to watch Kawakami stroke out when he saw Goodell say the same thing Jim did.

Roger Goodell says he will wait on any potential discipline for Ray McDonald.

Well, there's one bullet dodged.

Next bullet will come from a Jed York attempt to check him into some b******t rehab center, where "sharing is caring" blah blah blah.
How soon could we know whether or not Ray is charged?
I'm so sick and tired of the media tearing people down as fast as they build them up. People fall on hard times and we should just turn our backs on them? Look I don't condone DV or drinking and driving and I know this next statement will be unpopular but it's the way I feel. What if Ray did do it? We should just cut him? Why? What if after years of getting smacked in the head he's developed some kind of brain damage and that contributed to what happened?

The point is we don't know what happened or how Ray lives day to day in his personal life. The victim isn't the only one who is deserving or entitled to help IMO. Just because a man is wealthy or on TV doesn't mean s**t when it comes to what he is inside. Inside they are just like me and you struggling with the same issues. It seems like because someone makes a lot money he should have everything taken away from him because of a personal problem he may have. Cut him suspend him even though we don't know him or what he deals with in his head on a day to day basis.

Has every good thing he's done in his life disappear because of one night? One incident (unless it's cold blooded murder or rape/molestation) does not and should not define someone's character or life. Ray caused this problem or at least was a part of it in some way but the media is right there ready and waiting with a shovel to bury him. He's gone from a stand up guy to monster overnight. Really? The media says the 49ers are bunch of thugs with all these arrests. Yet Harbaugh goes overseas AGAIN to build houses for the poverty stricken people of Peru and nobody seems to ask him multiple questions 55 million different ways about that. Kawakami, the Cohn's and Mike Florio when is the last time you did something like that on your vacation?

They think Harbaugh is morally corrupt and this team is all bad yet you have a story like that and McDonald and why he is practicing is the focus. The focus is whatever the media b***hes wants it to be. They want it to be negative because that's what sells because to sell trash you don't have to have talent. To sell a positive story you have to be able to keep people interested with your writing.

They can't wait for Harbaugh to fail but he keeps winning so they attack his character. They can't keep their personal feelings hidden. Their contempt for Jim is transptransparent. It's sickening. I hope this McDonald story is not what everyone thiinks it is but if it is I hope he gets the needed help. I hope his girlfriend is ok.

Jim shines in these moments and he will prove his worth as a leader this year. He will use this as motivation telling his players everyone is waiting for you to fail so they can point to the arrests and injuries. The media wants to bury you so don't let them. Jim will get them focused to put a beat down on Dallas. I believe with all this adversity this is the year we win 6 to show how they persevered and did it when the media thought it was falling apart. Then the media can stick it straight up their ass.

Understood and totally agree but does that automatically make you a monster or a bad person? Eveything good you have done doesn't matter? Understand the context I'm asking in. If he is an evil person and this is just a part of his pattern then it's a different story. But why assume that? What if he really is a good person and this is something that happened that got out of control or if this is something he struggles with with just this women and they hit each other or again this has gradually started happening because of some trauma to the brain? We don't know. It's not always black and white. There may be different layers to it or he could be helped we just don't know and I think it's wrong to be put in a box and labeled when you don't know a person, their history or the details of his life. That's dangerous and the media does this without accountability and that's flat.out wrong.

I've almost killed a man. Wouldn't say I'm a horrible person.

I don't know, man, I just know there's a stigma with hitting on women. It's always going to be with you.
I think we got a 50/50 shot at this, the fact that Goodell has not passed judgement/punishment is pretty intriguing, we all expected the hammer to drop quick. I think people at the party will deny it all, the players have already, I get the feeling the wife is gonna drop the charges, and change her story. It's what's best for business.

Were are of the players wives there, does anyone know? Haven't seen any reference. Their word would carry more weight than the players.

That's a very good question. The fact that there hasn't been a solid answer (even in Goodell camp) shows the legal process is taking its time with this, so one would assume everybody at the party would/should be questioned. Abuse cases are a somewhat fickle, and tenuous process, lots of things happen in the heat of the moment, and everybody has their own side of the story (not as clean-cut when it's not recorded on a video camera).

Apparently Mike Florio realized he was agreeing with Jim Harbaugh on something so he changed his mind. His last two references to the incident have been his usual a-hole stuff. Good to know I'm not in bizarro world at least
