Where does it say Roman already flew out to Michigan?

Rumor has it he flew out there to see how the pizza tasted before he makes his decision.

I heard Roman is waiting for them to take the State Assistance language off his paycheck before he goes over.
According to the report he is only gonna make $5 mill a year similar to his contract with the niners. According to the report he took a paycut for his assistants. I am assuming he is planning to recruit some of his assistant.

Obviously, we ALL hope we don't go backwards but let's be rational about it. HaRoman have a propensity for relying heavily on veterans (Boldin, Lloyd, Johnson, Gore, etc.). That is all well and fine as long as you continue to develop the youngsters along the way ala what Fangio does (and he hates rookies more than anyone!). So as a result, we never got to realize the talent or potential talent here in a competent offensive system with James, Jenkins, Hyde, Patton, Ellington, McDonald, Carrier, Millard, etc.

I have a distinct feeling that these guys have/had some untapped talent and a lot more to offer if properly coached up in a professional system and allowed to grow within the system esp. by getting more quality snaps on the field. Hell, maybe our entire OL and QB is way better than it seems as well if used properly and to their strengths and in the right system.

And NOW, for the first time ever, we'll have a real shot to get more dynamic offensive weapons (b/c we're stacked on defense and b/c we're going to have a 12-14 draft slot). Also, another thing to consider is that with a change of offensive system (i.e. a real WCO), that will dictate who we draft as well. Suddenly great pass catchers like Hyde/Gore/Miller will be heavily utilized successfully in the passing game. Boldin. McDonald/Carrier/Celek have much more potential as WCO TE's than in our current system (McDonald with an injured back d/t BLOCKING all year). Same with Patton/Ellington in the slot. Johnson too! Millard could be dangerous. CK on the move in roll-outs, naked boot-legs, more or all snaps under C, zone blocking now, screens, changes in the OL personnel (accountability), etc. plus throw in all the new shiny toys we'll get on the cheap via FA and the draft (high picks), we have a chance to go from 25th in points to 12-15th very quickly. That alone makes us a 2-4 loss team as long as the defense remains top 5.

The only way we go backwards is if we install a new offense that takes a lot of time to grasp for players, a rash of key injuries on offense and/or the defense magically regresses big time. Starting at 25th...there is only one way to go and the evidence is showing an "arrow up." Have faith!

You are aware that's our front office bringing in those veterans? If you're going to trade for Boldin and Johnson they're going to be used. How many teams actually use their 5th and 6th receivers on the depth chart not considering injuries? Now I think you can make the argument that Harbaugh should have reduced Crabtree's role at some point but the guy is a 1,000 receiver. Said before the year and I'll say it now we created this unnecessary log jam. It was bad moves from the start.

this times infinity,, his little jokes at a press conference in front of a adoring media do not cover up why we averaged five points a game in the second half and blew five half time leads

Ya, we're at the point where the 49ers could go to the super bowl next year and Kaep could put up 3000+ Pass and 500 + Rush and a fair amount of posters will say it was done with Harbaugh's team and whatever receiver that Kaep threw to most made him look good.

Please tell me again about how he left because the Yorks didn't want to pay him (because they're cheap, obviously). He left because the FO wanted to see changes in his staff and that something that Harbaugh just couldn't live with.

All of the available facts point to this as the most likely scenario.

Harbaugh has said all along that he never asked to be the highest coach in football. The problem was they weren't going to extend him because they wanted him to prove more and likely his willingness to not let go of Roman at the time. From there things got to the point where they were unsalvageable.

BTW Harbaugh was right to stick with Roman. 3 straight conference titles says keep your God d*** noses out of it. Look if we had this year and Harbaugh said hey I'm not getting rid of Roman for any reason I'd be fine with letting him go. That's not what happened. The bridge got burned when everything was going swimmingly.

Fans of other teams are just talking s**t because thanks to Harbaugh and his antics the majority of other teams fans dislike the 49ers.

Fans of other teams would also be talking s**t if we kept him

Oh, they would. Even when he was here and we were winning I caught a lot of s**t from other fans about his sideline antics, his challenges, weak offense, being overrated, etc but now that he's gone we're idiots and our future is doomed ... Whatever. As long as Fangio stays and our defensive coaching staff remains intact (doesn't seem like they're going anywhere) I'm good. They've been a huge element to our success and put a defense on the field that gave us a chance to win, even this year with all the injuries but HaRoman's offense repeatedly failed. Canning Roman and this junk offense makes us better in the long run IMHO.
