What, are the Dolphins going to send the team yacht along with the team plane?
this is a great listen, its mike sando and john clayton talking 9ers

And we said "F you" to all of them. This is what we learned. We want Harbaugh here, and he wants to stay with us. Period.

The "opportunity" the Browns had to acquire Harbaugh was an unsolicited call and package of picks that did not include a first rounder.

This more clearly explains why the Browns front office is a complete mess. Their "opportunity" to acquire Harbaugh was on par with a guy who says "hi" to the hottest girl in the bar and walks away telling his buddies he had an "opportunity" to hook up with her.

This is Harbaughs team after all hes done for us i cant believe what people are saying i don't care if we came up short after years of being a joke to being able to be proud that our team can beat any one is worth every penny Harbaugh has cost the fact people would even hint at him not being here any more is sickening. Harbaugh is our leader this team is in his identity i do not want any one else as head coach he is our guy.

I'm surprised too. Ignorance is bliss. I loved the guys saying that if the front office is strong then the team will stay strong. Walsh to Seifert was a big dropoff, it only went unnoticed to the majority of people because two offensive coordinators carried the team to Super Bowl success with the best offenses the 49ers ever had. Two guys that went on to win Super Bowls with the Packers and Broncos.

How quickly people can forget the Nolan/Singletary years and how one HC completely turned that talented roster around from mediocre underachievers to solid Super Bowl contention.

Any one who believes that is insane with this roster with out Harbaugh there a 9-7 team at best. The Niners were a .500 team before Harbaugh and he immediately made them a SuperBowl contender if people honestly think another coach will maintain that momentum there fooling themselves.

good job york,, you deny it and now you fudge and say there was contact. the coverup is always more inept than the crime and this is a great example. why did he not just say it in the first place . I really thought when york took over we would not have the type of drama we had before he took over. If i were JH i would hit the road as it sounds like they do not want him. i still love this team but the things they do just make you wonder if they just go looking for trouble

Yep, it looks like York has now been forced to back peddle a bit from his initial statement. I wonder how much farther the will have to go.

The two of you are either really stupid.. or trolling.

Report: 49ers and Browns had agreed to trade Harbaugh but then Jim shot it down.

Jed York: Report is not true
Harbaugh: I echo Jed, report not true

Browns say oh, we asked about him.

Jed: They asked, we had no interest.

-----
How in the world do you see back peddling? You really are stupid... lol.. you believe what the media says and fall in line.

baaaaaaaah baaaaaaaaaaaaaah baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

nice job sheep

Sooo this.

How in the hell is it backpeddling??The man said the original report was not true.Haslem opened his trap saying they called,Jed said no thanks. All Jed did was clarify our position afterwards. In the beginning he saw no reason to clarify nor owed anyone an explanation,he just said the initial report of a done deal was not true.

"Asked why he waited to address the story, York said he and the 49ers have a policy to keep trade discussions private. "We keep calls to ourselves," he said. "I see no reason talking about another team - that's how we do business.""

Harbaugh is incharge of the coaching staff, he need to fire Roman.

What would Eddie do? The man that fired Walsh on more than one occasion only to retract that decision within 24 hours?

Eddie would have fired Harbaugh three times already....

It might be a "great listen" if it wasn't Seattle people talking about 49ers.

The GM can't just give a player or coach whatever they want. How many deals with high caliber coaches or players get done quickly? The coach/player wants to get paid as much as possible, and the team wants to pay as little as possible. It's not a new concept, and they'll eventually arrive at a middle ground or (unlikely) part ways. I think some of you are too afraid to lose a coach who has been great for the team, and forget that Baalke/Marathe have done an outstanding job creating very team friendly deals that have helped keep great talent. They know what they're doing.

Especially the fact that Lombardi was fired after Pettine was hired so Jim didn't stay here because Lombardi was fired. Lowell's hunches indicate his current state of old age and senility

Exactly this x1000!! Folk here only celebrate the guy who gets the game winning hit while ignoring the near no hitter that was pitched from the mound! Baalke/Marathe are just as if not more vital to the way this organization has been run. The 49ers were despite the losing an attractive enough organization to lure Harbaugh in part because of the fact that Jim saw the talent in place and he was on board with Jed and Baalke's vision. They got a stadium built for goodness sake in California and jed has only been here for what? 5 years!! Folk think that Harbaugh is the only reason we are thriving but this was/is "the perfect competitive opportunity". I also feel that Jim is the perfect coach for us just by the way he solved our QB situation his very first year here and that he will only get better if both parties allow this relationship to blossom

There's no rush on the extension. I don't know why everyone is freaking out like Harbaugh is about to slip away next week or something. They got together last year when there was THREE years remaining on the deal. Nothing came of it but that's not a bad thing. Jed said they will pick back up contract talks AFTER the draft is over. Both sides know there is plenty of time to reach a deal

Money isn't the only issue. Power and control is a big consideration for which Harbaugh will try to negotiate.
