i think we can all agree harbaugh won't be here for the long term. he seems like a bill parcells type, moving from team to team cuz he eventually wears out his welcome w/ his personality

Niner CEO @JedYork to me on Cle's attempt to lure Harbaugh: "The Browns reached out to me, and we had no interest in pursuing it."

No, no we all can't agree on that. I think you move on from Baalke first. Harbaugh is too valuable.

that's not happening. jed york has stated multiple times he will not deviate from the set up of a GM and head coach.
u move on from baalke then whomever you bring in is immediately undermined by the HC (harbs) and jed york won't do that
harbaugh will likely sign an extension and this will all die down but it won't mean he still won't leave in a few years, all the reporters seem to be in sync w/ the thinking that harbaugh has never come off to them as a guy who will stay here forever

I think his point is that JH is high maintenance and will likely burn a bridge, while Baalke is more stable and remain. Not about talent, more about personality disorder.

Exactly this and I agree the GM and Paraage are chief and that is the way Jed wants it. Very wise for a young man

Exactly this if Harbaugh is indeed a handful. If Jim can't get along with who we have here now then will he ever? Jed ain't stupid. He is very bright very mature and very wise and he consults with Eddie for goodness sake! We won't keep a guy around just because he is good but causes us to lose a great front office. Its all speculation and I don't believe things are as reported but if there is dysfunction you can bet it is Harbaugh. No one else between Jed Paraage and Trent seems to be as irritable as Jim can be from what we see. I am a big Harbaugh fan so far and I would like him here for a Bill Cow her like tenure if possible but then again I don't work with him either

Does anyone else feel this rift between harbs and baalke may be due to the front offices desire to rid themselves of a certain offensive coordinator? I could certaintly see why that would piss off harbaugh

i have thought that as well.. baalke when asked about LMJ/Vance etc says they need to be utilized (a direct shot at play calling)
but then for me the issues w/ play calling don't fall on greg roman they fall on jim harbaugh, he's an offensive head coach and he relays the play into colin so in effect any issues w/ our offense fall on harbaugh first not roman
maybe baalke has told harbaugh in so many words that he isn't utilizing all the weapons

Where there is smoke, there is that evil weed!!!
My major concern at this point is the team needs to be getting ready for free agency, extending contracts, doing its draft work and determining the adaptations or adjustments that need to be made to the offensive scheme.
The degree that this media storm, be it real or fabricated, hurts those essential processes is what I worry about.
I do not know what is happening and I am not about to voice my speculations and I am not going to take sides in a presumed argument without knowing any facts.
I am going to focus on the combine and the upcoming draft.
We have a good group of players--and they really are the heart and soul of the team.

I believe they clash because Baalke thinks and acts more in the long term and Harbaugh thinks and acts more in the short term.
Which oddly enough is probably why they are perfect for each other.
Harbaugh keeps Baalke in check by making sure we don't turn into Patriots West by constantly trading away picks and never adding big time talent to put the roster over the edge and give them a great shot at the Super Bowl.
Baalke keeps Harbs in check by making sure we can field a competitive team for years down the line instead of having a team built for a 2 to 3 year window before it gets gutted and is barren for years because of being in salary cap trouble and few draft picks.
