Correction, should be $6.5M ish due to his original rookie contract that he signed and didn't honor the last year.

I'll be back in a year or so.. I'll be 26 or 27 years old. Im taking this time to allow my Brain and Body time to heal and recoup.

Screw him. You dont get to quit on the team for a vacation and come back.

Borland and Davis are a couple of pansies. Youre getting paid MILLIONS. Stop acting like a victim. Injuries are part of why you get paid more than 99% of America.

Sounds concussion related ...

So is this a Baalke or Scotty Mac mistake? There were warning signs in college.

5 seasons is more than your average playing career in the NFL, so I wouldn't blame any GM. Especially since a person at age 20 can change a lot by the time they are 25.

Average player drafted 11th overall?
Sick and tired of hearing about how we had 3 (now 4) players retire this offseason. We didn't have 4 players retire.

Willis and Justin retired.

Borland and Davis quit. Not the same thing. F*** those two.
To be accurate A.D. didn't actually say he was retiring. He's considering it more like a sabbatical for a while in his mind.
fine with willis retiring. gave his all left it out there.

justin was either way for the past 3 seasons, no surprise there.

borland quit on the team.

davis clearly isnt interested in football. he didn't show up to ota's and if he's not into it then good. don't step out onto the field.

boone gets what he wants anyway. he gets to be a right tackle which he's better at anyway.

staley on the other side.

thomas kilgore and martin.

is that like when ross and rachel were on a break?
Arik Armstead will look good on #76!!!

La'el Collins woulda been a nice signing...

2015 Season sure is getting more and more and more exciting!!!

GO NINERSSSSS!!!!!
Good. Get these f**king 1/2 - effort pussies out of here! Take Boone's sorry ass with you (unless he plans on giving it his all at RT). Time for Dillion, M.Martin, Brown, Pears, Thomas, Kilgore, Staley, etc. to ball out. Other FAs on the market as well.

Tweet from late March

Here's his concussion from the vsNYG game. He would stay down after this play and miss the next game.
Davis' symptoms over the first few days included seeing a "white fog" and having difficulty maintaining a conversation. The 49ers' fifth-year veteran had never previously experienced a concussion, and only Wednesday was he cleared to resume cardio workouts on his own.
.

Davis suffered his concussion when he took what he termed "a spinning elbow" to the head on the 49ers' second-to-last snap in a 16-10 win over the New York Giants. He tweeted about his injury after the game, joking how he was "literally knocked out for a sec. I'm officially an NFL player now."

We certainly have options, but losing this much talent is never a positive. Our depth is taking a big hit with all the departures. How the team performs will speak volumes. A lot of recent draft choices have to step up and prove themselves.

Yep, if they don't want to play then rather get them out now then have them quit on the team during the season.

The elbow from #53 was what rung his bell.
