how many different ways can you ask this question?

How many different ways can you accuse Ben of wrong doing when he didn't do anything?

What are the chances it gets reduced to four games?

i bet the chances are good, he has to do some counseling and be on good behavior.

Plus, it was real nice of the League to give the steelers a bye after week 4

"How can we save face but still keep the Steelers relevant come Playoff time? Hmmm..."

"F**k that, I'd rather turn this club into a bar room brawl. Get as rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall"

He doesn't sound like a guy who didn't do anything. He sounds like a guy that his happy that he didn't get in more trouble. If you were completely innocent would you accept a 6 game suspension or would you appeal it?

Just a thought.

He definitely didn't do anything wrong. That's been proven. What is against him is the court of public opinion. And once that gets rolling it's a steam roller that can't be stopped.

*sigh*

No, what you're proving is that you are very good at twisting facts to suit your position.

Ben had his bodyguard drag some random chick to a bathroom so Ben could f*ck her. She resisted, he f*cked her anyway, and then she reported it to her employer who COVERED IT UP.

She declined to file criminal charges (as many rape victims do) because she feared retaliation from her employer, and because she was unwilling to bare all for a room full of strangers. She brought a lawsuit much later after she was told that she was to take a paid leave of absence from work while Ben was invited to stay at her place of employ as a VIP.

Think you know what it's like to deal with the aftermath of a rape? You don't have a f*cking clue. Try helping a rape survivor deal with life for a year or 5 after her attack. It'll open your eyes, quell your naivete, and (hopefully) kill your misplaced intellectual apathy.

Until you've seen it from the victim's perspective, you haven't got a god@mned clue what its about. So why don't you do us all a favor and save your cynicism?

Kthx.

On the flip side, you obviously have no clue how a easily a false accusation is believed and how devestating it can be in your life. Take some of your own advice and be an advocate for men who have been eff'd by women's pride and their false accusations, before spouting off at someone how their view on things is wrong. I generally like your stuff LB, but on this hand you are being quite hippocritical. You say someone shouldn't believe in something unless they have been a victim or worked with victims, while at the same time discounting the possibility that your victim is the abuser, just in a different way, but possibly as life devestating an effect.

The facts are that there was no proof either way and in both cases. I don't care who you are. If letting people know you were raped, and fear of losing your job keeps you quiet, then I think your "boo hoo" about victims and recovery is a bit exaggerated. They obviously weren't tramatized enough to make sure that someone who violated them that way was made to pay for having done so. If that's the case, then that person has MUCH bigger personal issues than they do with the rape, if it even ever happened to begin with.

You have decided to be on the side of the alledged victim, what gives you the right to condem those that believe the alledged abuser?

There is no victim in either case except for Big Ben at the hands of false accusations.

And your version of the "true events" is completely made up. There are multiple sides to every story. You are only showing one.
