DP: Has he violated the personal conduct policy?
RG: Yes, there has been a violation of that. The issue here is with respect to a pattern of behavior and bad judgments. You do not have to be convicted or even charged of a crime to be able to demonstrate that you've violated a personal conduct policy, and reflect poorly not only on themselves, but all of their teammates, every NFL player in the league, and everyone associated with the NFL. And that is what my concern is, and I have expressed that directly to Ben, obviously, and I will be making a decision as soon as I possibly can.

He violated the NFLs personal conduct policy, that is what he will be suspended for not for rape allegations.

K seriously now im doen with this thread. f**k the Steelers and Ben raper

Ya, you don't have to be convicted of anything to violate the policy.

All you need is someone to make up something about you, and then we'll suspend you for it, even if it's not true!

But it's not made up though. According to even the bar manager or whatever, Ruthlessraper was walking around with his dick hanging out when the girls got there. And according to everyone else there his bodyguards were blocking the door. The only thing left to determine was whether it was rape in a bathroom or consensual sex. And the only reason there was no evidence was that the bathroom was scrubbed down by the janitors before the Georgia beureau of investigation got there. I mean come on man, the DA consistently refers to the girl as the victim. If she was just an accusor, he would've said that. He knows something went wrong that night. You guys are acting like he was just at the bar and he was never even in the bathroom or never got this girl drunk, and evidence said that he was, just the evidence in the crime scene was scrubbed away. Come on you guys can't possibly be this naive.

Great Points.

Huck is all outraged that you can be suspended based on accusation alone. Too bad he refuses to acknowledge that many other people considered good 3rd parties because they are not connected with the girl or with Roethisbergers camp have plenty to say on the matter.

If it were just this girls word Huck I think almost all of us would agree with you. But it is not just this girls or even the last girls word, which you are one of the few who don't realize this.

Thanks man, and yeah if she was the only one saying something I might be on Ben's side. I believed he didn't do anything wrong when the Tahoe woman said he was a rapist. But twice in less than a year plus a lot of people saying he had some sort of forceful interaction with a college student? Come on they're giving him way too much benefit of a doubt.

and Huck is defending him more than he is defending himself

I mean if Ben was just chillin, he would have made a public statement to that effect a long time ago.

Sometimes its what people don't say. Especially now that the investigation is over.

Even Ben is saying that he is willing to accept any penalty he may get from the NFL and the Steelers. He knows he did something wrong.

Why would he be willing to accept punishment for the NFL if he was just chillin at the bar and not doing anything

He didn't do anything wrong. But the court of public opionion has decided to punish him like you guys on the WZ. So he is just at the point of accept it and move forward. It's not an admission of doing something wrong. It's just the public and NFL leadership is stacked against him and he knows it and knows it will be difficult to keep fighting this.

Thats doesn't work for me. Homie is now 1 incident closer to perhaps never collecting another NFL check again. He would definitely fight this if he could.

He did do some degree of wrong. Basic laws of self preservation of your livelihood dictates that.

He and the NFL execs are not enemies, they have the same interests in this. If he really did nothing wrong the NFL would love to be able to not suspend him and state after their own investigations they find him to be blameless in the accusations.

I disagree. He can't fight it because he publics minds are already made up. He is just going along to rehabilitate his public image. His public image is what has taken a hit and that's what he is working on.

But again he did absolutely nothing wrong.

again:

Let's review again for those who haven't read the stories.

1) No arrest made.
2) No charges filed.
3) No trial ever took place.
4) No conviction was ever obtained.

He did nothing wrong. Nothing wrong with having a few beers in the offseason.

Finally, someone who agrees with me.

He did nothing legally wrong, and the only question is whether he did something morally wrong, which we also have no idea about.

Shouldn't even be an issue, there should be no suspension.

But I'm sure I'll get a bunch of from people who are somehow able to know what happened.

Like these guys on the WZ who are arrogant and judgemental and know it all...

What do you mean "these guys"

I knew if there was 24 pages there would have to be a fight.....

Sources: Roethlisberger ban 4-6 games
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for four to six games on Wednesday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, according to multiple sources.

When the suspension is announced, it will contain conditions that will allow it to be reduced based on Roethlisberger's behavior and compliance with clinical evaluators.

Commissioner Roger Goodell's verdict will reinforce a message that NFL employees will be held to a higher standard than the law.

Steelers employees were bracing Tuesday night for what they suspected would be an eight-game suspension, but two sources said it would not be eight games.

And they have three primetime games in a row starting games 7-8-9.

I think the schedule maker knew something that no one else did.

yeah no way he'll miss 6, unless he doesn't go to counseling or gets in trouble again, but Roethlisberger can't be THAT stupid...can he?

I'm surprised, I thought it would only be 2 games. But I think having a tough sentence sends the right message.

Ben set himself up real good for this one
Adam_Schefter Pittsburgh has begun contacting teams to trade Ben Roethlisberger for a top 10 pick. At least one team considering it. Story far from done. 5 minutes ago
