Cris Carter will probably be dead before he makes it into the HOF.

'Tez was a good player. A really good player. But in different ways both Craig and Haley were rather more than that

f**k the committee. We all know Craig is going to get screwed every year, but Haley? Total and complete BS.

Bingo.
Craig and Haley were guys that pretty much defined their positions.
Craig revolutionized how running backs are utilized in the league. He was as dangerous a receiver as he was a runner, and was among the most dominant of his era. The guy was the first bona fide "WCO" back...and because I remember watching him, I still think he's the best. He did it all.
Haley is one of the best pass rushers in NFL history, hands down. The guy may be a little psycho, but he was among the greatest of his generation, and he deserves to be in Canton.
'Tez was good. He had a couple of great years...but there are others who are far more deserving.

Who is elible next year and will make it on the first Ballot? It should be Haley's and Craig's turn if no noteworthy player is eligible.

He never got the Vikes to a Super Bowl. Same with Tim Brown.
The exclusion of both is horsesh*t...but with a selection committee as retarded as this one, are any of us really surprised?

Jerome Bettis, Marshall Faulk, and Curtis Martin are one of the few that are eligible next year. Out of those three i can see Faulk being a Lock IMO.
