Chan Gailey actually is a pretty decent coach, he took Dallas to the playoffs in his 2 seasons there and at Georgia Tech he went to 6 bowls I believe. He unfairly lost both of those jobs and while on an awful KC team he made Tyler Thigpen actually look like a decent QB.

This is a better hire for Buffalo than when they hired Dick Jauron a few seasons ago, they do have some pieces but one they need a QB and two it will be tough in that AFC East with all the other teams looking in good shape right now

He made Fiedler, Tomczak and Kordell Stewart all look decent and went to the playoffs with all those QB's when he was the OC with Pittsburgh and Miami. His track record with QB's should give Bills fans hope that he could at least get the most out of Fitzpatrick and Edwards until the Bills find their QB of the future, whether he is drafted in this class or in the future.

If they don't draft a 1st round QB, he'd be wise to try and nab Colt McCoy or Tony Pike to develop.

He has his work cut out for him. Patriots even though slipping down a bit are still gonna be a good team. The Jets will be even better next year and the Dolphins are a tough team to play. Difficult division.

Buddy Nix has his work cut out for him too. They need to draft better and be active in free agency but not over the top with the free agents.

Gailey also needs to assemble a sound defensive staff.
