Merriman is a proven commodity but he does have baggage and that's what is scaring me from giving him a 1st.

Admittedly, i'm conservative with draft picks. I strongly believe in building through the draft. We've only chosen one premiere pass rusher in any recent draft (Lawson) but i think that if we had targeted for OLBs, we'd be in a better position and wouldn't have to have this conversation right now.
